It has been confirmed that Tyrus will be leaving the Fox tabloid and returning to drive his tow truck. In an interview with reporters, Tyrus stated that he wanted to return to earning an honest living.
The expectation of privacy is not the question. There is no privacy in public. The question is – with this emergent proliferation, what does it facilitate?
Never before have we had to concern ourselves with a lack of privacy in public. There was simply no mechanism for this level of surveillance. Now that there is, is it justified in its’ general use? Do we prioritize the possibility of increased safety over the possibility of nefarious use?
The argument for the use seems to be the same as the proponents made for the Patriot Act and all of the enhancements made legal/more common – “If you’re not doing anything wrong, why are you concerned?”
No governing body, or individual, should have this level of insight into the daily lives of the US (or any) citizenry. This is the equivalent of using a nuclear bomb on a riot. It’s waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much.

Holy Crap, Looking at the Plate of a car and then following all their purchasing and licensing is a real 1984 Orwellian dystopian issue that starts with Flock cameras. I like the capture of evil does but where does it stop? Jaywalkers end up with massive jail? The Other side is: I buy a car with the wrong plate and then a mistaken issue with wrong jail time. Next comes "Techno jail" time even at home, Holy Crap!!
Im not giving up my privacy for the government to have an advantage beyond the normal probable cause necessary to enforce the law. Running a license plate on every car is an unWarranted search of your privacy. It is unconstitutional. Furthermore the CEO of Flock is a friggin child. He has most likely never been in the military and knows the sacrifice millions of men and women made to ensure privacy. He is a little techno hacker who sees a way to cash in on police paranoia. We need to clip the wings of the police, not expand illegal actions by them. No one survellence state. They can never get abuse out of the picture. I am former LEO. I never met a cop I could trust 100 percent and knew many bent cops.
This is a Homeland Security Issue. In which case the System should have built-in AI. That never lets the local enforcement monator like 911 calls. This is tracking… not crime in process security.
get rid of them all, they may work the bugs out but laws and government views change, it is way to easy to abuse, and who knows who is really watching ? and tracking you. bring them all down. no exceptions. next pandemic you will go to jail for stepping out side to get food or go to church, we seen this happen in real time not long ago wait till they can watch you every second.

The problem with the flock cameras is that it's easy to be abused but it's really hard to fix the injustice afterwards. It's like the No Fly list. Easy to get on, next to impossible to get off.

Also the abuse is storing information about our habits! And just because our phones and other things track is I guess – I don’t want MORE of it. I don’t want to put data into these Data centers to make data centers more relevant. More needed I should say. Just leave stuff alone. Use what we have already.

its easy to see an agenda, when Microsoft want you to rent your Microslop 11 OS system that takes screenshots of our activities every few seconds ON YOUR HARDWARE, they are invading our privacy in our own homes, then ALSO building data centres and installing Flock cameras is all too Orwellian for our Society. They say it is not to spy on you, but their ACTIONS say the complete opposite. You can absolutely sit on a corner and collect the same data. What you can't do is collude with dozens of your neighbors to track that vehicle's movements.
Geez Tyrus, nothing just appears – We put down our guard on these cameras today because they 'only' read license plates. Then when we aren't looking they change the mission to include things the same as every web browser and other internet features have changed over time. You know the frog in the pot? There's a big difference between some random person can see you in your car on the street and cameras that can track where you've been save it to an AI searchable database that can be matched to your cell phone proximity and usage. Just because you could be seen in public does not mean some company or government should be able to pinpoint your location and what you had for lunch at McDonald's at 3:47 PM on Thursday 3 weeks ago.
If flock cameras save one Childs life who has been didnapped and in danger of losing their life, then it is worth it. If it is your child or grandchild, how would you feel?

I might not have the expectation of privacy when someone is sitting in the car next to me at a light, but I should not have to concern myself with a surveillance state that can track everywhere I go and all my movements even when I haven't committed a crime! Driving to the RNC offices in my town? Now the government knows my political affiliation. Flock sees me headed to a church? Now democrats can label be a religious extremist! I hate to say "slippery slope", but it's all in the implementation and utilization. Until we are positive the right safeguards are wrapped around it, it should be put on pause. Didn't we just recently go through something similar with FISA Courts performing similar abuses, just not with technology!
while, YES you can sit at an intersection and gather the same information, what YOU cannot do is us a multi-state data collection service to infiltrate beyond what you can see without a warrant. You can sit in Florida, and input a license plate number of car you want to "track" in other states, while sitting in Florida. you cannot do that with a clipboard and a chair. the collection of the data in a NON government database and then mine that data for other reasons that are beyond tracking a license plate on Monday. Now they are adding the ability to collect all radio data like phone data as you pass by, so any Bluetooth devices will be tracked and tagged. This is far beyond what is reasonable. Our founding fathers saw this threat 255 years ago, and put pen to paper to warn us, but we are pretending like the warning is not there. Flock cameras or anything else like it is like Communism. It sounds great in a perfect world that you could trust everyone on Earth to not mis-use this technology however, we are humans and someone in control will abuse it eventually.

In a public place, you have no expectation of privacy. Anybody can film you at any time. It's within the law now as far as peace officers using it to surveil. Someone without a warrant or because it's an X spouse that's an entirely different matter. And should be handled as a felony by a police officer

The first amendment if it's public view then what the auditors can do it at traffic lights and police cars are in public it's their constitutional right and auditors do what they want with it and this is way things are going AI and cameras are not bad for you unless you doing something wrong I don't like the idea but it's evolution none of our information is private anymore if you believe it is you're sadly mistaken foreign countries can access all your information if they want to so you don't have private information secrets that you think you do

What do you have to hide? Most people in my neighborhood have cameras highlighting their house for protection. Do we have to remove them if Flock cameras are banned? Some of our cameras cover the street in front of my house.
