My wife and I were so stunned by his performance that we were questioning if he was actually just a metaphor for grief and mental illness or if he was the literal ghost of their dead kid or a malicious entity masquerading as such. It made me realize just how absolutely INCREDIBLE a horror focused musical could be if you had the right concept and cast.
