  1. 40 degrees northern latitude actually is lower than canada! it marks the state boundaries between Kansas and Nebraska (hence the may 30th 1854 Kansas-Nebraska Act) that's why many of us have low vit. D. my old pcp sent me to a psch hosp to get evaluated and the dr there told me i needed further lab tests and i started questioning him, he said he thinks he knows whats wrong- I in fact had a case of severe low vit D deficiency well under the 30 it was barely recognizable actually. so i was given a supplement and let go and found a new pcp that knew more about nutrition deficencies. im in UPSTATE NY

  3. 14:55 Best Source is not food but Sun Exposure, and then supplementation. Food sources of Vitamin D are extremely low levels, you could never get enough of what you need from food.

  5. Is it allowed to sunbathe if we have hypercalcemia? I know that vitamin D as a supplement increases calcium in the body, but does this also happen through sunbathing?
