In this sound test, we are comparing a beautifully preserved 1970s TESLA ARS 934 to the massive 1980s Elektronika Praha RS 434 floorstander. The most fascinating part? Both of these unique boxes share the exact same 8-inch bass driver: the legendary Czechoslovakian TESLA ARN 6604!

However, the construction is completely different. The older ARS 934 is a traditional 2-way closed bookshelf design paired with a TESLA ARV 161 tweeter. The newer RS 434 is a 3-way bass reflex construction featuring a mid-range driver and an imported Yugoslavian AZSK 25/4 tweeter. Which one sounds better to your ears?
