We Finally Had A REAL AMERICAN Cookout 🇺🇸 (Even your Meat is Better!)

We’ve cooked hundreds of American recipes back home in the UK, but this was something completely different…

For the very first time, we fired up a grill in America, using American meat, American cheese, American hot dogs, and even an American beer in hand! 🇺🇸🍔🌭🍺

From juicy burgers loaded with pickles and cheese, to spicy Italian sausages, seasoned chicken, mac and cheese, ranch potatoes and sweet corn on the cob, this felt like the ultimate American cookout experience.

And honestly… we weren’t prepared for just how good the meat was!

With Florida thunderstorms rolling in, Elana giving her verdicts, and the whole family gathering around the table, this was one of those days we’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to all of our American friends who have inspired us over the years. After making so many of your recipes in Britain, finally standing beside a grill in the USA felt incredibly special.

Do you have cookouts with family and friends over the summer? And what absolutely HAS to be on your grill? Let us know in the comments below! 🇺🇸❤️

Thanks for watching and welcome to another adventure with our little British family.

  1. 🇺🇸 We have cooked hundreds of American dishes back home in Britain, but this was our VERY FIRST time grilling outside in the USA!

And honestly… we couldn't believe how good the meat was!

    Question for our American friends:

What's the one thing that absolutely HAS to be at a summer cookout?

And… are we forgiven for having a beer while standing at the grill?

  2. Not the healthiest food, lol. But delicious 🙂 I am Canadian and travelled a lot throughout Canada and the U.S. and France and Italy the last few years as well. Canadian and American food makes me feel like crap. Italian and French food in Europe I feel great. I think the food quality especially is so, so much better outside of Canada, U.S. No chemicals, etc.

  3. If you look at the stick of butter on the side, it's measured teaspoons. It shows you if a recipe says to tablespoons, you look on the side, you can cut two tablespoons right off

  4. Yes, leave off the ketchup and mustard. You want toppings try brown mustard and sauerkraut on a Polish or cheese, chili, and diced onion on an all beef.

  5. Congratulations on your first American Cookout! To be fair, some people might call it outdoor grilling, but it's not a real Barebeque or BBQ, because you're not smoking the meat. By the way, you dressed the Cheese Burgers beautifully by using lettuce, tomato, and pickles. When it comes to condiments, I'm not a big fan of Ketchup, but I love Mayo on a burger… steak sauce isn't bad either. However, next time I would suggest you try an actual Hot Dog… not an Italian Sausage. In my opinion, Hot Dogs require Mustard and Pickle Relish, but again, I'm not into ketchup. Lastly, try Macaroni Salad or Potato Salad instead of Mac n Cheese, because cold salads go great with grilled burgers and dogs.

  6. Europeans confuses sausage rolls with hotdogs. An American hot dog is not a sausage. You haven’t had an American hotdog yet. When you do it comes in many different ways. Plain on a bun. With just ketchup or just mustard or both . Some put relish on it while some put beans . Basically you could put wherever you like on it. But an America hotdog is not a sausage.
