This presentation was excellent. As a Canadian, I can only hope my country gets off the pot soon and signs up with Saab, to buy and make our own Gripens. On that I'm joined by roughly 72% of all Canadians. And it would also serve as exemplary means of diversifying our military sourcing.

That’s not true about the Gripen. Flight school in Sweden begins in a turboprop, not the F. Intermediate flight training is done in the Gripen, then they go to Italy and train on M346.

You could sell more Gripens, but for some unfathomable reason, you decided that you do not want it so hard actually, and instead offered older versions to other countries which they refused without second thought. Good job Saab!

SAAB really missed the boat on this one: if they really want to sell that point the presentations shouldn't be done indoors.
SAAB is always rabbiting on about how quickly a small crew can re-arm a Gripen, and how easy it is to do an engine swap.
These presentations should be outdoors. The plane should fly in, taxi to the presentation area, then 2 teams emerge from the wings to re-arm and perform an engine swap during the presentation. While that's being done the presenters can point to the work and extol the virtues of the easy and quick sortie turnaround and ease of maintenance.
When the presentation is done (keep it under a half hour or however long it takes to swap the engine), they walk back to the plane, fire it up, taxi out, and fly away again.
As a Canadian who's pro-Gripen for Canada, this was an intensely boring presentation. Lots of flashy lights end epic music, though; which, I have to note, don't make a boring presentation more interesting.
C'mon Swedes, show a little panache. Brazil, I've seen your Carnivale; I know you can do better.
