I Waited 2.5 Years for This Oticon Reveal Hearing Aid Feature

The new Oticon Reveal hearing aids have arrived, and Oticon made some BIG improvements over their previous-generation technology. 🦻🔥

I’ve been personally wearing and testing the Oticon Reveal hearing aids for the past several weeks, and in this video I’m breaking down 5 key improvements that Oticon absolutely nailed.
And one of them might be my favorite hearing aid feature I’ve ever tested.

👉 In this video, I cover:

💨 Wind & Handling Stabilizer 2.0 – Up to 10 dB more wind noise reduction while preserving important speech cues.

🦻 The new Oticon CROS RE – After more than two years of waiting, Oticon finally has a matching CROS transmitter for its flagship hearing aid, including the ability to charge both devices using the same charger.

📱 Improved Bluetooth & Wireless Connectivity – Oticon reports up to 32% more streaming range and 53% better streaming stability compared to Intent, along with Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, TeleCoil connectivity, and hands-free calling.

🧠 Reveal AI Clarifier with Dual AI – Two separately trained deep neural networks work together to identify speech and contextual sounds to provide the brain with a more complete and natural representation of the listening environment.

🎯 Reveal Optimizer – Faster and more precise feedback prevention designed to provide substantially more stable gain and headroom. For me as an audiologist, this may be the most exciting improvement of them all because better feedback management can help us provide more high-frequency amplification and get closer to prescriptive targets.
I’ll also explain why the CROS RE is a feature I’ve been waiting 2.5 years for, why Reveal’s Bluetooth performance has impressed me with my Samsung Galaxy S25, and why the Reveal Optimizer could have a meaningful impact on actual hearing aid performance.

  1. They're going to have to be a quantum level better than Phonak Eon Sphere or Signia Pure C&G MaX, both of which support Bluetooth Classic. I don't want to watch a movie on my phone when I can watch it on my laptop and have my hearing aids connect to the laptop.

  2. Thanks, Dr Cliff, this was a great concise and impactful summary! I've been wearing Oticon Intents (with a custom silicon ear mold) and have been quite happy. The biggest issues I have are bike riding wind noise – and it looks like these new Reveals can help! – and the occlusion effect, which of course they cannot impact directly. However (and this gets to my question!) it seems like given all of the new technology and improvements with the Reveals, I might be able to go with an open dome and get 'similar' hearing improvements as I have now with the Intents without the occlusion affects? I'm pretty close now to the maximal vent size with my silicon ear molds. Anyway thanks again for this great info!

  3. I have SSD and very excited to try the new Oticon Reveal and Phonak's new EON BiCROS platforms. I have moderate HF loss in my hearing ear and will focus on the comparison between them. Great job Cliff with bringing all these new changes to your community.

  4. Profound hearing loss user with the high frequencies gone. Pick up the Phonak Eon's today. Then I see this video about the Oticon handling of high frequency loss. Oticon's improved Android phone connectivity is a plus.
