One of the best things about Rain Bird’s R-VANS is how easy they are to adjust by hand.
In this short video, Clint shows you how to adjust the arc and the radius of a Rain Bird R-VAN 45-270 degree nozzle without having to use a pressure reducer.
As always, if you have any questions leave them in the comments below and don’t forget to like and subscribe!

I love how these look bought one and installed it, it is supposed to go up to 14 feet and the pressure is where it's supposed to be
The left "fixed" side is also ajdustable. You just grab the riser/stem while the sprinkler is functioning, and rotate to the left to move the "stop" to the left, or right to move it to the right. THEN you adjust the right stop by pushing down on the ring and adjusting left or right. Adjusting the "fixed" left stop was in important detail not shown in this video.
Need to show how to adjust the left hand stop.
so these water close to the head even when opened up to shoot far distance ?
Good job. Thank you.
I hate these stupid things lol
Outstanding video!
My sprinkler is "1800 series." The instructions include turning a screw & there isn't even any screw. It adjusts as this video describes.
Perfect video. To the point, repeated, and demonstrated. Rock solid! Thank you!
It starts to ''click'' when going clockwise. I can still move it a little when it clicks. Is that the extra cm length or it first click = max and the rest is just a warning to not move anymore?
First time homebuyer. I had an issue with two sprinkler heads and this video made it easy to fix my sprinkler heads. Thanks!
Just needed to know how to adjust the degree but the throw adjustment tip will come in real handy, cheers mate
Very Helpful 😊
Thanks u were very helpful
Just installed these R van heads they spin fast then after a few seconds they slow down is it too low pressure ? I’m getting 70psi and only 5 heads per zone if you pull up and flush they spin fast again but only for 5 secs then they slow right down
The rotators are new to me, so I tried one in my front yard, and it seemed like it did a great job of spraying 6 to 15 feet. But it seem to miss anything 1 to 3 and 4 feet away. Almost like anything close is not gonna get any water. Have you found that to be true at all?
My sprinklers haven’t been used for almost 2 years due to getting lost in overgrown lawn. I’ve scalped the lawn now and have found them again but the pressure is really bad. How do I fix them?
Thanks for the video we got alot of help out of it.
Rock solid ! setting the white line was super helpful.
how to put a sprinkler at the corner. I didn't find adaptor for it.
Are the light blue 360 adjustable? I've tried and am unable to get it to change. The older model the heads were adjustible
How can I turn it off?
Can’t even see it
Thanks for telling me what the Rain Bird website wouldn't!
