Rachel joined Matt and Nate in our lesson series for the Running Springs horse show, and she got to practice with her randomly drawn horse, Rikki! Even though Rachel showed when she was younger, she has never done horsemanship before, so Stephanie helped her work on her position, find Rikki’s rhythm, and learn a practice pattern.
There was plenty of heckling from the sidelines, but Rachel and Rikki actually did really well together! I think Rachel left feeling a little more confident, and Matt and Nate left feeling a little more terrified now that they know what the pattern could involve. 😂

I think its fair that if I am thinking this others may be also. I have gotten tired of seeing other videos with clickbait titles such as, Katie Van Slyke so sad or Katie van slyke my best friend. I don't know which channels of Katies are real anymore. Now to see her "friend" in this videos using Katies name in all her own video titles as clickbait. I'm out! Sorry but, if a creator of Katies size approved allowing other people to use her name like that when its already confusing as to what's real and if katies is really in the video or not. It speaks volumes on who Katie really is.

Girl, you are expecting people who have never ridden to compete against someone who has ridden their entire life?
I mean, if they do that, they are just good employees and friends because unless they are doing weekly lessons for a few months, there’s no way, and even that would be hard.
If it was me, ngl, I’d embarrassingly flop it on purpose just cus. 😂
Why can’t they do as many lessons as they want to? I mean, thats a real competition. No one limits how many lesson each contestant can have prior to a show?
Now with Kennedy hurt — why don’t you have everyone ride Ricky? They can use the other horses for costume and the rest
I wonder how many times the guys rewatched Katy walk that pattern. I know I would have multiple times and visualized the ride in my head. No matter who wins this is a great way to prove you can try something new and with a little work, enjoy and excel at it.
honestly rachel and nate should swoop, rachel can ride pretty well, and would be better for kennedy espicially going into congress. ricki seems super sweet i might be wrong but nate really has pulled the short straw in every way. xx

Maybe the judges need to be made aware of the level of training the guys have had as opposed to a seasoned rider like Rachel — not to give an advantage, but so they aren't judged like professionals. I think they will do just fine, but I think THEY feel intimidated. Go far it, and have fun doing it!
Maybe there should be a video competition so the boys can shine 😅

To even the playing field, they should switch horses and do rail work after the horsemanship pattern Rachael on Kennedy, Matt on Rikki and Nate on Ethel. Rachael did a very nice job, but it is clear with her previous showing experience and drawing Rikki, she has an unfair advantage. Her riding Kennedy may have helped even the playing field somewhat. Kennedy is a great horse but a more complex horse.
I admire Nate for his determination, and how well he is doing with Kennedy despite her being more challenging than the other two.
Since you’re getting back in the English saddle, can you remind me why Trudy isn’t sound to ride?

I would think the guys could learn something just from watching someone else do it and hearing the terminology applied in real time.
