Welcome to the heavy spoilers show, im your host Paul and this video we’re breaking down the X-files Fight The Future.
We’re now at the first film in the x-files universe and I cant wait to get into the movie. Im actually surprised at how much is segues from the series and sets things up for whats to come in season 6. We live in a society where I think studios are often scared to connect movies to tv shows because theyre worried people might not understand all the intricies. This is boldly tied to the show though and having not seen it for 20 years it was like watching it for the first time. My wifes been watching the odd episode with me from time to time and was a bit surprised there was actually a movie. She asked if she should watch it and I said no. Not becuase of how sexy Mulder is but because I just dont think youd understand this if you hadnt watched all the mythology episodes. Which I dont really know if shed care about. Ey I was exactly the same before this breakdown series.

22:11 I'll chalk that up to them doing multiple takes. Both with and without the bees.
Mostly to make sure it looked good on camera and to make sure they had their exit strategy down. e.g. For safety.
They just chose the scene without the bees, for "reasons."
In regards to multiple takes, they probably didn't have much of a choice and most likely only got one chance to film the scene with the bees. As most probably either died or escaped, after the scene.
Who would have had the patience to try and wrangle up 3k bees?
I have a strong hunch they ended up destroying the bees in the end. I could be wrong.
love this film so much. whenever ive binged the show i always watch this in its appropriate place. the second movie isnt as good, but with more watches i have appreciated it more over time
The film was fantastic
To travel from Washington DC to Antarctica in 48 hours must be a world record.
I like how Dallas has mountains in one scene and then looks like west Texas desert in another.
It feels more like a movie than the series visually but also the pace. And CRAZY that they managed this alongside 24 episodes in one year. Most shows these days could learn a thing or two from the 90s
The show sometimes hit or miss but this movie always hits.
Really enjoying these. No way I've got time to re-watch this whole series, but I can enjoy the journey through these breakdowns. Much appreciated.

Killer bees is not a European thing it is an American thing. The threat was exaggerated but they are still a problem. They are well established across most of the Americas and tend to be more aggressive than regular honey bees.

I honestly believe that Michaud and the super soldier also played by Terry O'Quinn are the same person/character – I believe there's a theory and discussions about it – and it just makes a lot of sense, if you ask me – mainly as to why Michaud just sat there and let the bomb explode, 'killing' himself..

2 minor things – 1, Maize (Corn) is not attractive to insects as there is no nectar (wind pollinated). 2, vaccines lower the affect of infection but do not cure (it appears to cure in X files). So the injection vaccinates those who aren't infected, but cures those who are, WEIRD.

Saw it in theatres on release day! To say it was an event is almost an understatement.
I wasn’t 100% up on the lore since I’d only seen maybe 1 in 3 episodes at the time, and yet didn’t feel lost watching the film.
My beef was with the chest bursting aliens, I thought that was unoriginal having been done before to greater effect.
