I’m a HUGE fan of electric trucks – This video is not sponsored. I flew myself out to Dearborn Michigan to see exactly how the new Electric Ford F-150 Lightning is manufactured. The body of the new truck is actually conveyed in from a separate building using above street passageways. SUPER cool. Ford says the goal is to be manufacturing the F150 Lightning at a yearly rate of 150,000 trucks a year by the end of 2023.
The F-150 Lightning just won the 2023 MotorTrend Truck of the year – so lets see how that truck is built.

Also, just think about all of those individual parts being made.
"How to build a truck that no one wants"
I wonder how the next EREV lighting will turn out
Relic of the past
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
My truck just blew a turbo watching this inside my truck
That factory is amazing.
too bad nobody bought these electric trucks. sorry for all of those that lost their jobs due to politicians.
Bro has marriage and sex on the mind. Never have I heard more metaphors for monogamy in a video.
Hate to be the bucket of cold water, but are people buying these?
I just ordered mine in antimatter blue!!
Too bad they don't sell nearly as fast as they assemble.
6:11 I hope that bolt wasn’t important.
Wow amazing! I love mine!
Y en audio en español?
I need a lighting so bad. Hoping I can grab an ER version (or Flash) for $30k at some point used.
Thank you Ford Union Workers! I've had my Lariet Lightning for a month now, and I can honestly say it's the best vehicle that I've ever owned. Thanks for your work! To be honest I was considering Telsa until Elon went crazy. No regrets! Love this truck.
Ist the ford factory carwash the water tester
I wonder if the Water Test was Fresh, or Salt Water?…🤔😂
👍
Just picked up my lightning
Its amazing how few people are on the assembly line compared to car assembly lines of the past.
What I found very interesting was the charging of the truck at a level 4 speed with 480 volts 3 phase and 230 amps and went from 20 percent to 80 percent in a half hour .
It would have been interesting to know if this was the extended range or standard . If it was extended that would have been quite impressive . It also would have been interesting to see the charging curve . Read a article where it's beneficial to charge the lithium battery at high power from the first time as it takes some of that lithium and crystalize it to the electrodes or cathodes . I don't exactly remember but it was said to improve battery longevity .
Can't find anything on the net of level 4 charging at the factory
Ford muy bien!
They forgot the supercharged v8

You have to respect ford they’re putting the customer ahead of the investor by making sure the product is practically bulletproof
Electric trucks are dumb and too expensive!
I’m so outdated. Gone is the fixed assembly line with that long continuous chain driven system … AGVs enable it to be so flexible.
How are they selling.oh wait they aren't.. only the jabbed people wants them
1 question i had is simple, do the AGV's get a top-off charge every time they pause at a station, or just when the system tells them to??? or do they have charging bays they return to after a shift, and another set comes out to replace them?
Best tour yet!
👍
How much do they get paid
Do you suppose at the end of a long hard day all the robots get together in the robot break room
with a cup of coffee & a cigarette and complain to one another how much their tired ol backs hurt
after a long day of lifting & moving heavy components? I see unionization coming.
!
No wonder ford sucks LMAO. I wouldn’t hire any of those workers to shovel my god damn snow… wow, chick at 7:40 doesn’t belong there, isn’t having your hair like that a safety issue, a major safety issue.. im from Detroit bro, and let me tell you, the unions have destroyed these companies in terms of quality
This truck is an over priced under developed joke with huge depreciation. Ford-THE RECALL KINGS no thanks.
Are the robo arms part of the union as well?
awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! luv that video
My favorite part of the manufacturing process is the paint dunk tank. Very satisfying.
This story is funny now with EVS failing massively 🙂
I like how all the workers wear whatever they want. If it was Germany they'd all be wearing cute matching overall outfits 🙂
