This is just a bunch of dry ice, and it’s basically just solid carbon dioxide. What I think is interesting though is what happens, if I seal some of it in a pressure chamber, and heat it up.
A while ago, I actually used a similar supercritical CO2 chamber to make aerogel.

The planet Venus actually has kind of a “sea level” – below a certain altitude the increased pressure makes the carbon dioxide atmosphere supercritical.
The Russian Venera space probes descending to the surface just cut the parachute loose when reached the “sea level “ and sank slower through the supercritical CO2 to land softly on the surface.
