At the end of the day, we have to do what we have to do. We are being dismissed, derided and disrespected by that fat, orange buffoon on an almost daily basis. This is a horrible situation where one demented a**hole with a personal chip on his shoulder, has chosen to damage one of the best bilateral trade relationships in the world. And the bastard is right about one thing.. They could absolutely wreck us, if they really, really wanted to. And there is nothing we can do about it. And while we like to talk about how much we are done with America, etc., the truth is we are not. Look how much trade we are still doing to this day, and what it would mean to us if that all dried up. Yes.. We must absolutely stand up for ourselves.. Yes, we must divest where possible. But to paint anything that is going as winning, is pure nonsense. Sorry, it just is. This is a sad, sad situation.. A betrayal by a madman who has a personal vendetta against us for some bloody reason known only to his pea brained, demented mind. And it shows once again how something which takes decades to build, can be destroyed in a fraction of the time. We are being bloodied, but we are still standing, and onward we go. There is no other choice.
Canada should just keep on doing what it's doing — for Canada. And that definitely includes new ports and DIY pipelines.
Just ignore the USA and its obsolete ideas on "Me Big Boss" trade terms. That imperialistic mindset has failed already.
