  1. He was already in a semi sittin position. Would closing ur eyes, taking a deep breath and dropping your full body weight to the floor to snap you arm and work it out be a little easier then cutting it off with a crappy saw blade?

  2. Young man, if you see this, ignore the ignorance of others. 72 hours is a long time in that situation, with no idea when help would arrive and worried about your dog. You are brave. I’m glad you survived. 🙏🏻

  3. What a dummy! Couldn't even finish the job. I would never have done that. That's dumb. OVERREACTED! It's not like he was in a remote canyon somewhere without a soul around. He did NOT have to do that at all !

  4. Based on what he said "It was like a claw", my thought is that the rusted out cast iron inners was starting to peel off. He got his hand in there but as he tried taking it out some part of the inner shielding started tilting outwards, basically trapping his arm up to his elbow in there.

While the people here bashing him for not waiting longer seem to have zero idea that a human can merely survive above 72 hours without water, I think given he had access to a bunch of workshop tools, such as a saw, etc. He could have more than likely used those to tilt the metal back and free his arm.

Definitely overly drastic if you ask me, but we are all just assuming what the circumstances were. I still think what he did is more intelligent than just waiting and hoping that people notices you're missing, while dying of dehydration.

  5. This guy makes me sick! He's such a cry baby! Cutting off your own arm in your own house when people have survived worse predicaments out in the wild. He ain't no hero, he's a fool and he doesn't deserve to have his arm. 😮

  6. Yeah the fiance situation is a little odd. However, it maybe simply a case of bad timing. They had a big fight, she had her own emergency and couldn't call, etc! I feel life tricks us sometimes just for the heck of it!
