The Mets pitching allowed 20 hits, but the offense carried them to a wild 15-14 victory against the Marlins. Francisco Lindor and Christopher Morel both hit home runs as New York allowed 14 runs and still won for the first time in franchise history.

The Mets tried their best to lose this one but the Marlins wouldn’t let them!
LINDOR DANDOO ZZAAALLLZZZAAA CON MAZACOOTTEE GORDO. 🇵🇷
29 runs! This is a fun Mets team. They are out of the post season run & while it is disappointing the future is bright. Some of our young players are edging to star player status. Stearns made multiple shrewd deadline deals that restocked our farm system with some exciting young prospects who are close to the majors. With a smart offseason where Stearns adds a power bat, a top end starter & bullpen help we will be very strong contenders. Despite the trades we have a strong foundation composed of a talented young core.
This Mets team is playing hard & gritty, & winning it a variety ways but also doing it while smiling & laughing. The future is bright Mets fans & the success should be sustained as the talented core is young & the farm system is strong.
Let’s Go Mets!👍😁
Amazingly wild game
