پشتونوں کو آخر کب تک ڈراموں میں ایک ہی گھسے پٹے اور منفی سانچے میں پیش کیا جاتا رہے گا؟ کبھی دہشت گرد، کبھی جاہل، کبھی جنگلی، کبھی زمانے سے بے خبر اور پھر “او لالا، کدھر سے آئے ہو؟” جیسے مصنوعی لہجے اور جاہلانہ انداز کے مکالموں سے ان کی پوری شناخت بنا دی جاتی ہے۔ دوسرے کردار ان کی زندگی اور حالات کو دیکھ کر ہنستے ہیں، جیسے ان کا طرزِ زندگی صرف مذاق کا موضوع ہو۔ کبھی پشتون کردار کو چوکیدار، سبزی فروش، ریڑھی والے یا معمولی دکاندار تک محدود کرکے پوری قوم کی نمائندگی سمجھ لی جاتی ہے۔
کیا پشتونوں میں ڈاکٹر، انجینئر، پروفیسر، سائنسدان، افسر، کاروباری، ادیب اور تعلیم یافتہ نوجوان نہیں؟ اگر ڈرامہ واقعی معاشرے کا آئینہ ہے تو اس آئینے میں پشتونوں کی تہذیب، تعلیم، ذہانت، وقار، مہمان نوازی، جدوجہد اور قربانیاں بھی دکھائی جانی چاہئیں۔ ایک قوم کے چند مخصوص لہجوں، پیشوں یا منفی کرداروں کو بار بار دہرا کر اسے پوری قوم کی شناخت بنا دینا نمائندگی نہیں، دقیانوسی سوچ کو مضبوط کرنا ہے۔
تنقید ضرور کریں، مگر تحقیر کو تفریح کا نام نہ دیں۔ کیونکہ جب ایک قوم کو بار بار اسی انداز میں دکھایا جاتا ہے تو لوگ کردار پر نہیں، پوری قوم پر ہنسنا سیکھ جاتے ہیں۔ فن کی آزادی اپنی جگہ، مگر فنکارانہ آزادی کے ساتھ ذمہ داری بھی ہوتی ہے۔ ڈرامہ معاشرے کو آئینہ دکھائے، کسی قوم کے لیے پہلے سے بنایا ہوا تعصبی آئینہ نہیں۔
