  1. Americans are forced to pay taxes. In fact it’s the duty of any citizen of any country to pay taxes so that the people they elect to manage their country, counties, and cities do so to make our lives better. Taxes are meant to be used to enhance the lives of US, the citizens.
Our government representatives, of both parties, have NOT spent the money forced from our pockets to make our lives better for the past 70 years. Instead they’ve sent trillions of OUR money to corporate CEO’s who then sent part of it back to the very politicians who then decided how to spend it. Our forever wars are used to justify the obscene amounts of money channeled to these corporations in the name of our “Safety”, or national defense. Bullshit. Our country’s debt is over $40,000,000,000,000. What have we to show for it? We have 20,000,000 Americans living in poverty, we have ZERO high speed rail lines connecting our cities, we have Americans homeless and loosing their homes to medical and property tax debt, we have corrupt politicians allowing corporations to poison our food, our land, our water, and our air and it’s being done because our political representatives are taking corporate money and allowing them to do so for increased profits. Our country is slowly dying and the only way to stop it is to stop the corruption and greed that has gotten a stranglehold on our society.

  2. It's not a problem if Americans own the debt. Of course you don't want to get to the point where there isn't enough debt buyers that would cause problems. But using debt instead of mandatory taxes allows people or companies with extra money which they/it don't want to put into equities or spend it can give the money back to the government.

  3. with rising treasury interest rates states banks citizens can purchase U.S. government treasury bonds at lower prices and earn more interest while providing more and stronger dollar currency for affordable prices while also reducing debt

  4. Trust is the most important word in the dictionary, and the entire $40 trillion rests on it. Markets don't lend to a balance sheet; they lend to a country they believe will keep its word.
Under Trump, America has burned through that trust faster than any creditor nation in living memory. Allies are hedging, reserves are diversifying, and the world has quietly stopped assuming the US is the adult in the room. That's the national security problem.
The loss isn't only abroad. It's Americans' trust in their own institutions too. Time to wake up: trust takes decades to build and one term to lose.

  5. Just a FYI: The suggestion alone to pay out 5000$ to every adult american made the bond yields increase by almost 0.07% points, or in other words it cost the US 20-30 billion $. IF the US were to actually pay 5000$ to every adult citizen, disregarding the massive inflationary effects, it would make the interest rate jump above 6%. In other words it would cost the US 1.2-1.3T$ on day one and another 400B$ every year after that on top of it. And just another FYI: 25% of the ENTIRE US national debt has been accumulated during Trumps 6 years in office.

  6. • National debt: $40.08 TRILLION
    • GDP: $32.486066 TRILLION
    • Debt exceeds GDP by 23.38% — a $7.593934 TRILLION difference.
    • Trump's "dividend" would add $1.2–$1.35 TRILLION, depending on who qualifies.

On the other hand… Trump's estimated wealth, according to Forbes:
    2007: ~$3 BILLION
    2017: ~$3.5 BILLION
    2026: ~$6.5 BILLION 🤔🤔
So… WHY would he want just a meager two-term presidential salary of $3.2 million again? 🙄😒😒

  7. Yes, the national debt IS a security risk. And why is the debt so large? Military spending. The media and government attempt to distract our attention why throwing all kinds of numbers at American citizens, but that's the cause. Various US presidents have even stolen money from Social Security in order to buy weapons in order for those purchases not to appear as part of the total spent on "defense." What needs to happen is some politician needs to get smart and confiscate the $30 TRILLION that rich Americans have in off-shore accounts! Hiding those funds away instead of paying taxes on them is a major contributor to the problem. Essentially, those rich individuals put themselves before their country, showed complete disrespect for their country, and in fact indirectly attacked the USA. For this, those funds should be declared forfeit–UNLESS, they repatriate those funds, pay their fair share of taxes, AND put those funds into the bond market. The choice should be to do this or to lose that money. But not only to lose that money but to also lose US citizenship, which those rich individuals probably don't care much about. How would the US government get their hands on those funds if those rich individuals continued to flout the USA? Put pressure on the governments where those funds are held, and if necessary use the military. Using the military for that reason would be much more intelligent than any of the US wars in the Middle East going back at least to Reagan.

  8. There is something called sovereign default. Many countries have defaulted in the past, including the US in the past but they have always printed money and passed on the problem to the future generation. This time the debt is so large that the only safe option left is to willfully default.

  9. I’ve got an idea, how about stop kissing israhell’s ring & take care of America & its people rather than a rogue genocidal colony in the Middle East.

  10. The Congress is controlled by the GOP Republicans more interested in giving tax breaks to the rich and spending money on the military industrial complex/DoD/Pentagon added $1.5 trillion to the budget which is spending over $2 trillion in debt each year. WTF is wrong with these people?

  12. For 20 years of Afghanistan heroin flooded communities but now if anyone sells that commodity they are working for the government or took the trip themselves and I doubt the Taliban is even selling the stuff…

  13. Our defense contractors cannot build missiles fast enough to beat Iran and beating China is laughable. We are much weaker because corporations moved their manufacturing to a communist country that has always look at us as an enemy.

  14. USA military is the most expensive on earth and has been shown to the globe to be impotent. USA economy is going to crumble in coming months. And most importantly, the USA reputation is completely DESTROYED. Nobody trusts you. You kill. You lie. AND, the global opinion at this point is that ALL Americans are complicit. You have a mad king, but that isn't the top news story. You report on the budget, and expenses, but Americans fail to discuss that YOU HAVE A MAD KING.

  15. Yeah your house is burning down because you’ve lowered your security abroad so now the enemies at the front door, back door and going through your bathroom window. Reminds me of when a bear started climbing through my sister’s bathroom window. Security isn’t a get out of jail free pass or when you surrender to the herd. Piss poor planning gets piss poor protection.
