7KG OF THE BEST KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN I’VE HAD! | OLD AIRPORT HAWKER’S HIDDEN GEM?!

In this video, I headed down to Salt at Old Airport Road Food Centre to try a massive plate of their Korean fried chicken and signature chicken rice dishes!

Salt is a hawker stall run by a brother-and-sister team, serving up Korean-style fried chicken alongside Asian-Western fusion dishes like chicken cutlets, fried rice and pasta. They’ve been around since 2014, bringing a different twist to the usual hawker food scene.

The star of today was definitely the soy garlic Korean fried chicken, it was honestly one of the best Korean fried chickens I’ve had. The sauce was adjusted perfectly, with just the right balance of sweet and savoury flavours. What impressed me also was how the chicken stayed super crispy even with the sauce fully coated all over it!

I also got to try their sous vide chicken with soy garlic fried rice. The chicken was really tender and juicy, paired with fragrant fried rice that made for a really satisfying combination.

If you’re a fan of Korean fried chicken, this is definitely worth checking out!
