  1. Sure the music is saccharine but How can you not like this kid??? It's like hating on a 5 year old. Those notes were *perfect*. His talent is exceptional, that's more than enough to prop him up and he's doing his part to expand western ears beyond the 12 tones.

  2. I am so looking forward to a time where "microtonal" just means music within an extended tonal framework with more possibilities. Amongst some of those might be crappy and uncanny sounding ones, and that's okay. We don't always need to like everything.

We need to get rid of the prejudice: "microtonal IS distasteful weird experimental music without melody and rhythm."
People should be more aware that they are listening to music that is based on a compromised system. The correct version will sound weird, and that needs to be changed.

Anyway big shout-outs to the YouTube channel called microtonal guitars, with Tolgahan Çoğulu.

  4. Это называется четверть тона . Капец. Теперь на полном серьезе люди переизобретают классическую гармонию и сольфеджио. Все новое- хорошо забытое старое …

  5. Reminds me of the Achilles Paradox, which explores the idea that there are an infinite number of steps between two set points.

Along the same lines, it’s interesting to ask: are there an infinite number of microtones between two particular notes?

Seems there’s actually a practical “resolution limit,” even if it’s technically infinite in a purely mathematical sense.

At a certain point, the human ear isn’t capable of distinguishing extremely tiny differences in microtones. The limit is apparently somewhere around 3 to 5 cents (cent = 1/100th of a semitone). Beyond that, we’ll just hear the same sound.

The original spatial paradox hits a similar limit with the Planck length, but it’s a fun concept to consider regardless.

  6. I wonder how many notes you can vocalize between G and E.. (300 cents) as clear different notes not a siren..
In Indian music with the Shruti 21 that spread the octave into 21 different notes with very different intervals. The smallest interval is around 22-23 cents..

  7. He’s like me, but with completely different art form.

As well, this is how I dry my hair
After swimming showering, but he just leave it

    I also this

I wonder if he has a triple crown like me or after a while of her growth it turns into an Einstein wolverine type of thing

And never grows down just in all other directions
