I like hearing him to those microtones
I am completly disrespected as a trombone player that you mentioned everything other than the one instrument you can do microfones on
Sure the music is saccharine but How can you not like this kid??? It's like hating on a 5 year old. Those notes were *perfect*. His talent is exceptional, that's more than enough to prop him up and he's doing his part to expand western ears beyond the 12 tones.
Angine
I am so looking forward to a time where "microtonal" just means music within an extended tonal framework with more possibilities. Amongst some of those might be crappy and uncanny sounding ones, and that's okay. We don't always need to like everything.
We need to get rid of the prejudice: "microtonal IS distasteful weird experimental music without melody and rhythm."
People should be more aware that they are listening to music that is based on a compromised system. The correct version will sound weird, and that needs to be changed.
Anyway big shout-outs to the YouTube channel called microtonal guitars, with Tolgahan Çoğulu.
say no to pride
Oh to share a succulent fibrous meal with the poopman
The best way to apply microtones is in the context of just intonation, like what's been done for centuries by acapella groups…

Fascinating guy. I love the fact that he is bringing this into the mainstream
if I fit only 1 notes in between G and E, it'll be F‡ or F+ (11-limit)
Your stole my scarf
I can both sing and whistle in microtones, actually.
For a moment there I thought I was falling in an endless nightmare of microtones
Это называется четверть тона . Капец. Теперь на полном серьезе люди переизобретают классическую гармонию и сольфеджио. Все новое- хорошо забытое старое …
“Dot dot dot” bro saw the future. Literally predicted angine de poitrine
Reminds me of the Achilles Paradox, which explores the idea that there are an infinite number of steps between two set points.
Along the same lines, it’s interesting to ask: are there an infinite number of microtones between two particular notes?
Seems there’s actually a practical “resolution limit,” even if it’s technically infinite in a purely mathematical sense.
At a certain point, the human ear isn’t capable of distinguishing extremely tiny differences in microtones. The limit is apparently somewhere around 3 to 5 cents (cent = 1/100th of a semitone). Beyond that, we’ll just hear the same sound.
The original spatial paradox hits a similar limit with the Planck length, but it’s a fun concept to consider regardless.
Ma duh der der der
Jacob looks like he's about to get struck by lightning
Insufferable fraud.
Every time I see this guy he makes me feel like a lesser being. The talent of this guy is just soul destroying.
Bro is on a whole other level of autism
i hate him so much
Wow, the accuracy with which he articulates each note becomes so overwhelmingly impressive with every slightly altered repetition!
He sounds like a generic Roblox engine sound slowing down lol
😮❤
Well, consider my flabbers gasted… 😮
You are amazing Genius ❤❤❤❤❤
This guy looks like young Robert Smith.
Jacob,Would you ever try to join the Chinese Musical Instruments as part of your production
I wonder how many notes you can vocalize between G and E.. (300 cents) as clear different notes not a siren..
In Indian music with the Shruti 21 that spread the octave into 21 different notes with very different intervals. The smallest interval is around 22-23 cents..
What is it about this guy that makes me want a bully to enter the room?
Violin is the only microtonal instrument that often use in orchestra
"i like playing games for fun" wow, so profound
🎵Marararara…🎵
Cuphead music strarting to play in my head
He’s like me, but with completely different art form.
As well, this is how I dry my hair
