Field Marshal Erwin Rommel had one job in 1944: stop the Allied invasion of France. If the Allies got a foothold, Germany would be fighting on two fronts, so he wanted to throw them back into the sea on the very first day.
He turned the coast into a death trap with almost six million mines and steel obstacles. Then a storm hit the Channel, his weather experts said nobody could invade, and he drove home to Germany for his wife Lucie’s fiftieth birthday on 6 June, with a pair of shoes he had bought in Paris. The Allies’ meteorologists spotted a short break in the storm, and about 156,000 soldiers landed in Normandy while Rommel was hundreds of miles away. The panzer reserves needed Hitler’s order to move, and Hitler was asleep. Rommel got the news by phone that morning and only made it back to his headquarters that night. By then the Allies were ashore, and he never got a second chance to push them back into the sea. Eleven months later, Germany surrendered.

traded D DAY for B DAY
It does show that no matter how strong Germany to believe that they still have emotions and that everyone is like Hitler and that they have feelings and care. It shows that they are like us.
It's 10 months not 11 months
Dang that’s very unlucky
You forgot to include a Canadian Flag on the Beach
'Most important day of the war' you say?
Some slight inaccuracies
Rommel never got to his wife’s birthday, he had to drive back upon hearing the news
The borders of Germany are wrong
And UK would be a better replacement for just England on the map
Ohh know it's B day
There is a movie about this exact battle, called “Pressure”. Very compelling, recommend for people who love a good thriller

You got Germany's WW2 borders wrong, they had the whole Atlantic wall, also if you were too lazy or just wanted to do the pre-ww2 German borders, you still got it wrong. Just saying that for the future.
Don't shame the guy, he is still human
