So even if voted no, they’ll do it anyway. Need to also vote against any incumbents.
Hate the stars!!! They take soo much money and don’t support kids programs! Abuse in figure skating is ignored!!!
If Plano chases the Stars away, think about what will come. An old, abandoned mall brings a lot a decline (old Valley View Mall or Collin Creek Mall areas as examples) & eventuallly more apartments. I think they'd be crazy to pass on this opportunity. The Collin Creek redevelopment on the east side doesn't look great. You said YES to AT&T. This will draw A LOT more higher end development than otherwise. Just my opinion – but I"d sure work out a compromise.
The traffic in this area is already ludicrous… there is nowhere to expand the roads… city planning is abysmal. There is a new HEB going in on parker and Josey .. this intersection is already a nightmare. How many grocery stores we need in a 5 mile radius ??! Love the greed
I don't want to pay more taxes. I don't even like hockey.
They need to fix the pot holes on Legacy first.
Good for downtown Dallas
Cool can't wait for the protest to be ignored and forget in a week and the stadium to be completed in 3 years.
Forensic electronic
Bounty they had mutiny 1990's one oathed threw
More circuses for you retards
And just wait until you have a car accident and insurance won’t pay all of your rental car bill!😂
And you believe the govt will stop at $700 million?😂 😂😂😂
Tax payers shouldn’t be obligated to pay for a corporations building/s. Stupid just let them go somewhere else! It brings no economic benefit at all!! Some concession worker jobs and whoever wins the bid for construction that’s it! Piss off!
Reason being the entire neighborhood and small suburb around Willow Mall is 100% Muslim. It really makes no sense to even put it there. They Are the reason why the mall failed and closed all Americans moved away from that area
You guys didn't learn!?! Remember what jerry jones did to build his new stadium, accept it cause its going to happen whether you want it to or not, don't complain or resist or they will shut off all your services like jerry did.
Unless they have plans for mass public transit into the stadium, this could cause massive traffic jams.
700 million dollars for corporate welfare is unethical. You want a stadium, you pay for it.
Make the owner of yeam pay everything
As a season ticket holder. Move it to Arlington where the old ballpark used to be at. Just make a rail system to it. You'd literally have MLB, NFL, ESports, areans there anyway.
Sell the team to Quebec.
Plano traffic is bad enough. Stars in Plano + Cowboys in Frisco will make things much worse.
Good, hope they vote it down…keep the Stars in Dallas
Paying for these billionaires stadiums with taxpayer money should be illegal.
They admit that there has been no formal accounting on the expense of developing the roads, power, plumbing, drainage, or parking. These will all need some level of improvement or higher capacity. There doesn't seem to be a formal declaration that the land needed for these is available. If they didn't address a commitment for all land necessary for the above, the current land owners can either deny the sale or artificially jack up the price. It's a master's class in how not to do a large municipal project.
Alternative of leaving it abandoned is unthinkable. Retails is dead. Building a hockey arena is a good deal.
The Dallas Cowboys are not longer in Dallas or Dallas County, so the Dallas Stars may be out of both Dallas and Dallas County.
Who wants to pay for a losing team
there is zero chance any resident wants the increased traffic on every thursday friday and saturday night in this area
Not us. We can't wait for the Dallas Stars to move to Plano. What a blessing 🏒👍
Traffic would have been better 20 years ago. Today it's a nightmare. The stadium is going to make it worse.
I heard it was either the Arena or bring in a bunch of housing for H1-B visa holders.
Haha, Plano rich people wondering how it will be paid off….lol
But a Muslim takeover is okay.
Hmmmm—pay for your entertainment…😮
The revitalized area will be great for Plano if the city doesn't just shift the tax burden to the residents.
It's bad for business; sport arenas no longer attract attention anymore and they are just empty husks. Meetings ? AI agents are doing that already
Taxpayers will be paying for it.
