The MISC Hull B has a PROBLEM

Live streams have moved:

Star Citizen MISC Hull B review and gameplay guide. In this Factory Service Manual, Dusty Star breaks down the MISC Hull B to find out whether specialization makes it exceptional at hauling, or leaves it with too little else to offer. 512 SCU sounds impressive. But with no ramp, no cargo bay, and no room for a vehicle, the Hull B commits to freight completely. So what’s really wrong with this ship?

This Factory Service Manual includes the Hull B exterior access points, complete interior layout, stock component analysis, and three upgrade builds designed around dedicated freight work.

This is not a first-impressions review it’s a Factory Service Manual inspection.

The MISC Hull B offers 512 SCU of external cargo capacity. Its cargo stays outside. No ramp, no cargo bay, and no room for a vehicle.

If hauling isn’t on the menu, the Hull B doesn’t have a side hustle.

In this video, I break down the MISC Hull B the Factory Service Manual way. We inspect the ship, analyze its factory configuration, and put it through hauling and combat contracts in Star Citizen 4.10.

– Tour the Hull B exterior and two-person crew interior.
– Analyze its factory stock components.
– Run a 10-SCU hangar contract .
– Work a dangerous 432-SCU cargo contract to Pyro
– Survive a MOTH attack at Ruin Station.
– Take the fully loaded Hull B into a 3-on-1 combat test.
– Get Dusty’s Final Impressions of the MISC Hull B

Because by the end of this inspection I realized I’d been asking the wrong question. The Hull B isn’t for everyone. It’s for the dedicated cargo haulers, the ones who call themselves space truckers before anything else. The Hull B is what happens when hauling stops being one of your jobs and becomes your profession.

  1. Fore pure cargo hauling, the Hull B is second to only the Railen for me. I like the speed of loading and unloading with the external grid compared to the Hercules series.

  2. The B spindle needs to spin, it's just right there in front of us with more than enough room to spare when loaded.

Looking forward to getting my E though!

  3. Generally i've found ship tractor beams useless or awkward on most ships. The ATLS or maxlift are the way to go. There is no other ship in game now that I have found more easy and efficient to load and unload than the Hull B. It's easily my favorite hauler, and tbh hauling is about all i do. Especially for hauling missions the B is ideal. For commodity trading I find myself wanting the full 2200 of the ironclad, since i use the auto loading anyways, but for all other hauling the B is ideal. The only thing I would add to is is like a small bay for an ATLS. A little lift that lowers down like the one on the nomad would be ideal.

  4. Honestly, the Hull B shows a key weakness of most industrial ships: they're not very powerful on their own. The only exception might be the Railen, a giant version of the Syulen, which is already very maneuverable. That said, at that point, you might want to use the gimbals to compensate for the inability to keep on target.
That said, as a past capsuleer, you also make due with what you have, and while rats against an Iteron is funny, against other players, it's usually a test of how well you can manage your defenses.

  5. Does it not bother anyone that the turret is at the front… rather than at the rear… to provide protection while retreating? At the front, the line of sight is blocked by the crates and the front section's spoiler, and on the sides by those vent-like structures…?

  6. The hull series got nerfed way too hard. It makes no sense that in an economy of "presumably" trillions of people, one ship hauling a full load worth a few millions truly might tip the economy. They're just lazy with their economy model.

  7. I don't know why they just can't make the ship tractor beams a more powerful atls. The way they are now it's so wonky I feel like I must be doing something wrong

  8. I really enjoyed how you explained the cargo ship and made the whole experience feel so immersive. You genuinely made me want to jump into the game and fly like you do. That maneuver you showed, reversing to keep the enemy in front of your cockpit and your forward-facing guns on target for as long as possible, was brilliant. I also really respect that you gave credit to the friend who taught you that trick. That kind of thing says a lot about you. I want you as my captain.😂😂😊😊

  9. The one thing that reaaaaaaaaaaaaally irks me is that they (John crew himself) stated the B’s pilot would have access to the tractor beam the patch after the B released. Here we are 6ish months later and still not implemented. 😒

  10. for ground loading in the hanger, etc I recommend grabbing an ATLS, you can walk it onto the elevator and go up into the ship and leave it stored there when travelling between locations.
