Love that’s he’s wearing PPE. 🫡
It's about time to move onto different tech. Drywall has been around for decades and generates millions of dollars in business income. Of course, the only ones who want newer, cheaper and longer lasting technology are the customers
corners are ez you use your finger with hot mud let dry then hit again with funger useing all in one with tap n mud no tape meeded strong bond
Absolute waste of time and money.
I like to use a sponge instead of sanding 😁
Na the best way is to get other people to do it for hardly anything at all and keep all the profits and credit for it
Drywall is the best job I've had the past 25+ years.
and, i dont sand as much. Lol😅
If I was a professional I would definitely buy these tools, alas I am not therefore I'll stick to the simple tools.
I drywalled a tuff shed and respect the expertise in doing it right. Definitely an art
This was a game changer. I had to rip down a ceiling. New drywall went up. I saw a trick to use 3-4 lightweight mud mix I. A little more water and a little bit of dish soap.
Rolled it on like paint skimmed and sanded the smoothest wall I’ve ever done in my life.
# Dzts my skill work, I'm a professional Painterman texting from the Gambia 🇬🇲 west Africa 🌍. Thanks #
Way to much mud lol
I like the tools but why are they so clean
Drywall dust is poison
Drywall is absolutely FUN. Might be the most fun, of all the basic trades.
That automatic taping tool is 5k.
Try out the Festol sander thing works pretty good
Mirka sucks
"Making [drywall] sanding almost civilized"
Ha!
Great list of helpful tools for the pro. A good (great?) alternative sander – extractor set up is the Festool Planex (the model w/ the sanding light) & the CT 36 or 48 AC. If you do drywall every day or week, you won’t regret spending the extra $$ to get the Planex model w/ the sanding light.

Kinda sucks? lol. As a commercial carpenter, who works for a hospital, and has to do everything from mold remediation, drywalling, mudding, ceiling grid, ceiling tiles, painting, etc, mudding is my least favorite by a country mile. Especially when it’s like pulling teeth to get tools and materials. These fancy aids are not in their budget unfortunately.
Damn, I hate the box. Did that at my old job. Never got used to it. It's heavy, dirty, and if youre not fast enough, the mud will harden inside the box 😵💫
I just completed a class on drywall and I wished the instructor used these tools so I know how to use em
Dust has no effect at all on paint unless it's in thick clumps . I always just quickly broom off the walls with a soft broom .
Trouble is I always start out with setting type material, bucket mud goes on last .
This video is Bullshit ! If you are a happy homeowner, with a small project, just do it by hand…. Remember most people that claim they are pros. And claim to be well versed in using Ames tools, or using an outdated Banjo!! …and wearing jeans ,Remember a Professional finisher wears Whites! As you are looking at videos and see people in jeans …. They ain’t pros! And just because a finisher shows up in whites doesn’t mean they know what they are doing either..lol .I fired lots of people in whites through the years….if you have a big job , sub it out and Good luck, there’s not very many good finishers out there….
We knew we chose wrong long before corners. Got me. My mentor told me about 3 months into my career "face it you're a lifer."
Buen trabajo con buenas herramientas
If you learned to finish drywall properly you wouldn't need to sand. Big box builders almost always have Hispanic crews that finish thier walls and ceilings. Do they even carry sanding tools to the jobsite? Hell no! Learn how to skimcoat like a big boy and you will learn that if it isn't perfect it just means another skim!
Have you tried muddskip?
These are tools for professionals, people who do nothing but drywall every day all day long, making them capable of doing more square footage in terms of wall coverage. This is not a tool for someone doing drywall at their home. Even a small room, this is a great tool to have, but a huge upkeep.
Been doing drywall for 20 years. I use hot mud for everything except the final coat. If you get the mud on right sanding isnt that bad/ No matter what you do you still have a mess to clean up. Running a shop vac while im sanding attached to a hose is NOT something Im going to do. Dragging a vac around slows me down and the fileter gets clogged to fast to be worth doing it. Sand, sweep up and vac the floor at the end. All those facny tools just take more time to clean and you cant use hot mud in them without risking a fiasco. Of course i dont do drywall every day so my methods arent for commercial work. i learned from a commercial drywaller. 12" knife works fine to smooth out a but joint.
Leave the dust on the wall so the finished texture is consistent over the whole wall surface. Sanded drywall joints are much smoother than the surrounding paper. There’s no way fine drywall dust will stop your primer from sticking.
A drywall box that was much wider but was fed like the tubes would be a nice ready way to speedskim with much less skill required
That's pretty slick!
Great suggestions on how to make mud finishing easier thanks!
Wtf is up with coating the screws 6in wide and heavy in the mud wtf lol
You can have every tool out there and it still sucks. You are either good at it or not, you either love it or hate it. I absolutely hate it, but I am decent at it. Don't mind putting it up, but doing joints, corners, all that tedious work and sanding, I will leave that to faster and better hands than mine.
Those compound rollers shed like crazy.
Drywall work still sucks
