Senior House Democrats are urging FBI Director Kash Patel to scrap a reported trip to Russia planned for this week. In July, POLITICO reported Patel was planning the visit, citing a U.S. official and a person familiar with the situation. In a letter sent last week, the ranking members of the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees — Reps. Jamie Raskin and Jim Himes — urged Patel to call off the trip “in the interest of national security.” It is unclear whether the visit is still on. Raskin joins Morning Joe to discuss the latest on the reported trip and more.
