Mercury is the only metal that’s a liquid at room temperature, so I wanted to see what would happen if I poured it into liquid nitrogen. This is my first Youtube shorts video and I will be posting more here. I will be using this channel to combine all of the shorter videos that I’ve made on other platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, etc). I will also make new ones exclusively for this channel!
WARNING: Do not attempt anything in this video. Mercury is toxic, an environmental hazard, and must be handled appropriately.

He almost created a liquid metal slime.
So frozen things really do have a layer of ice around them, they aren't just super cold
Congatulations you successfully most likely decreased the amount of Mercury you possess
wow, cracks the ice coating, pours out of the cracks in tiny droplets, and just disappears 👌🏾
Just sloshing Mercury around with his bare hands…
Terminator 2 ending
This man is insane in the best way possible
did he just say solid
The melting part looks cool when it comes off as sphere shaped beads
melting mercury is beautiful.
PEAK MALE CONTENT
"wait for it all (the well below freezing liquid nitrogen) to cool down"
ITS BOILING! It must be hot- oh.
That is pretty cool
He’s not even using gloves
Orbs.
Mister…There is 2 Elements there is liqued at room temperature…Bromine and Mercury. Stick to the truth.
guys that metal's pretty solid
Gallinstan…
"I poured liquid nitrogen into a dish and wait for it to cool down" i think you probably meant warm up 😅😂
Was that nitrogen that was encasing it when it heated up again? Or was that mercury cause that doesn’t look like mercury
We find solid mercury all the time gold panning in rivers… Just saying.
Why did it melt that way, into tiny balls?
It was interesting to see it melt before the ice encasing it. Very cool!
Waiting for liquid nitrogen to cool down 👀
T2 IRL
A perfect example of surface tension cohesion …when it is melting
How many people remember the hammer made of mercury in science class at school?
Mercury is the only elemental metal that is liquid at room temperature. Some alloys are too
Is no one going to explain why it was crying
the only metal?! u forgot stable
im sorry it takes liquid fucking oxygen to solidify mercury?
