I always read Yueh knew the Atreides were doomed, if wasnt him is the spies they are waiting or the Emperor sending his army. In his mind the only way to beat the Baron was betraying the Atreides because in that scenario he can kill the Baron indirectly the same way he was made a killer of the entire army of Atreides. Also he uses Leto like a puppet of his own purposes which is ironic because Leto did the same with all the people he knows.
For last he make sure Paul and Jessica survive with the bag, he didnt wanted to betray them truly. Saying he did for his wife is kinda short when, again, i feel he did because he have more posibilities of "winning" with his hand, if not all the Atreides would die anyways
"Dune is hard to adapt"… sure, tourist; and why did you lead this vulgarized cash grab again?
PS: many years ago you post this explain basic content… sadly , I missed it , due to knowing the canon and treating recent "genius" as wannabe OG, when they could at best turn tourists.
fremen girl cheney
You hyped up Gurney and Duncan backwards. Yes Gurney is a good warrior but its Duncan that is the legendary galaxy wide badass! He is so awesome when the Sardikaar faced him they wre terrified of him he took down 16 of them before they finally got him and had his body remade out of respect. He was a swordmaster of the Ganaz school and the greatest fighter in the Imperium. Gurney was damn good too but Duncan would kick his ass 10/10 times. Also you do know your saying Chani's name wrong right? Its pronounced Ch-ah-knee.
please make part 2!! 😭
I am proud of you fighting the Australian urge to call her “Jessicer”
15:18 is my favorite line in this essay.
"Elfin face" has to mean "face of a person smelling farts" or something like that.
It is always sad to me that The Rock playing himself in every, fucking, movie is biggest star than Batista who is way, way better actor than Rock. Good that now he is more and more good movies, playing interesting characters like here, in Blade Runner or his commedy role in MCU.
Why does nobody do the fully blue eyes? Even in dune awakening game there is still white and iris
Thou shalt not make…. oh you know 😏

"There's spaceships and spice
And Zendaya with blue eyes" 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
No ai, No computer, and no robot? i think i heard this somewhere else…FOR THE EMPEROR!
I know I’m 4 years late to this, but it makes me unnecessarily happy that the claim at 37:40 is incorrect, Dune part 1 DOES have a beetle-like harvester, it’s just at the very beginning of the movie when the Fremen are attacking it and the angle makes it tough to see. It became apparent after I had watched the beginning of part 2 that I had seen that shape and those legs before. This means the harvester that we become familiar with in the first movie was always a hand-me-down, even within the confines of the first movie. The second movie didn’t retcon or change anything- it illustrated an aspect we missed regarding the Harkonnen’s sabotage. I deeply like this, I love these movies.
Can you please do the rest of the Dune book series by Frank Herbert?
They did have projectile weapons.
No colter wall? No highwaymen? No waylon Jennings. Glen Cambell or Johnny Paycheck? Hell even Chet Atkins? Tyler Childers? Brad Paisley? Buck Owens? Alabama? Shenandoah? Craig Morgan? You need a deeper dive my friend this video does has some value by starting with Johnny cash but to full understand country pick an album from each decade starting in the 30s with Hank Williams and go all the way to 2026. I think that way you will get a good sample of how country has evolved over the past 104 years.
Boy they really found an accurate actor to play such a lighthearted character like Chani didn’t they
brother part 2 breakdown plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
protagonist do not have to be a good guy
As someone that got into the dune universe recently, I need a part 2
51:45 "generally frowned upon" sincerity is dead
7.14 Game of thrones In space on drugs😂 sounds perfect to me
4:40 yeah so uhhh about that
I heard the harkonnens only unintentionallt broke Yuey's conditioning. It was to save his wife because he knew she was dead. He was truly motivated by hate for the Baron and only broke conditioning for a chance to assassinate him using the Duke.
For the love of Shai-Halud please finish your Part 2 breakdown already, your videos are like Spice to me and without them I will die

What pisses me off about Dune is that Herbert builds this whole universe around brutal survival logic, backs Paul into a corner where basically every peaceful option gets him, his family, or the Fremen killed, and then wants to turn around and act like Paul is morally suspect for choosing survival. Like dude, you built the fucking world that way. Paul didn’t invent the Empire, the Bene Gesserit, the oppression of Arrakis, the Great Houses, the religious manipulation, or any of the conditions that made mass violence inevitable. He gets dropped into a machine that has been running for generations, realizes exactly how fucked the situation is, and makes the choices that keep his people alive. If you want me to condemn him, then give him an actual alternative. Give him a real path where mercy, compromise, exile, surrender, diplomacy, whatever, has a legitimate chance of working. But if every road except the violent one ends with everybody he cares about getting slaughtered, then you didn’t write a moral choice. You wrote a survival calculation. And this is the kind of writing I fucking hate. The author controls every variable, removes every decent option, forces the character into brutality, and then acts morally superior because the character understood the situation correctly. Fuck Frank Herbert for that. You can’t write an airtight corner and then blame the character, or the reader, for knowing how to count. If survival itself is supposed to be the sin, then your moral framework is broken.
Watched you All Tomorrows a looong time ago. It was a great watch. Decided to watch it again because I cant sleep. And now I'm watching this, your narration is so neat, and mind you I cant stay on long video formats normally. But your narration is so soothing and relaxing. It's also easy to understand as a non-English speaker.
I told myself I was gonna wait to watch a movie DUNE and read the book first, but oh my it was so much world building and so many characters get in introduce to me really fast so I just watched a movie. And I enjoyed it so much!!
It's shame so many scenes have been deleted as only someone who has read the book many times will be able to fully enjoy the movies. Others will still enjoy them but the richness has been glossed over.
Also in this video, while well done mispronounces so many words and names. There is an excellent audio book that, with the assistance of Frank's son, gives the correct pronunciations of all the characters and place names.
Ironically Dune is a relatively short book yet to this day no one has made a satisfactory adaptation. This recent rendition in 2 parts should have spent more time on accuracy and less time on special effects.
LOTR, did an excellent adaptation and kept key phrases even if they were given to different characters.
Thank you dude, my friend bought me Dune: Awakening, and the movies didnt feel very educational on the world. You helped me understand it alot better.
Finally got around to watching this movie and much like Game of Thrones Alt-Shift-X has been a vital part of the watching experience <3
Thats the most hilarious part of Dune they are fucked up the second they get on the planet and the only way they arent is by ingesting so much spice they gain a tolerance to it… But since they all acquire a tolerance they put it it in all the food too. Fyi in the original movie Muadib is the name of the largest crater on the moon of Arakis. In the new movies Muadib is what the freman call the desert mouse. If you watch the old moive online its been edited to reflect the change to the meaning mouse but i have a hardcopy of the movie and its definitely been changed… But why? Why indeed.
I think the voice part worked because I just liked and wanted to subscribe a 2nd time 😂
dang, i was just enjoying a Dune video and then all of a sudden around tthe 13 minute mark, I was subscribed and liked the video. Weird
i love how you don't tell the biggest reveal that came out of paul's prescient experience in that stilltent
40:22 I hate this. "Liberal governments always develop into aristocracies"? My brother, find me one form of government that allows for as long a window of freedom for as many people as a liberal government does.
The fascists lasted maybe one generation. The communists couldn't even make it to the 90's. Any of the more resilient, non-liberal governments are backwards, authoritarian hellscapes with dogshit economies.
Saying liberal governments always turn into aristocracies is like saying breathing always ends in death. Yeah, no sh!t dumb@ss, everything does. You wanna stop breathing? Go ahead, it's a free country. Just why do you gotta drag the rest of us below the water with you?
The Dennis Dune blockbusters would have been perfect if the films were actually based on the Dune books as opposed to inspired by.
One of the best, creative, compelling and complex sci-fi stories ever written.
Ye i watched the whole thing to understand the music "The eyes of ibad" by panchiko🥹✌🏻
I literally started reading dune bc I felt like I finished the movie and didn't know what the hell happened 😂. I'm so glad I did it though
13:02 i subscribed..
i wonder why if bene gesserit are so fully in control of their bodies they can't turn off pain
13:00 Yes, master
