The Jaguar F-Type SVR brings the F-Type to a whole new level, with more power, less weight, and an even more dramatic exhaust sound than before. The titanium/inconel exhaust gets its deep dramatic sound through several tuning measures, but there is an active bypass valve that redirects exhaust flow through a more direct path out, reducing the muffling. Fuel can also be injected into the exhaust to allow the iconic crackles and pops from the tailpipes.

Overall, the near perfect throttle response of the 5.0L supercharged V8, matches with the beastly roar from the exhaust amounts to an unbelievably joyful drive. It’s truly one of the finest road cars I’ve ever driven.

  1. I hope you all could feel the joy through this video that the car gave me, it's an unbelievable experience to drive! I know I haven't done many car reviews; there will be a couple coming soon on some cars I really enjoy. I was also able to try out 17 different cars around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca back-to-back, so I'm planning to do a summary video on my impressions of those 17 cars and how they behave on the track. I will say, cars act quite differently on the track when pushed to their limits than on the street where I generally remain very conservative with my driving. While this Jaguar F-Type SVR was stupidly fun on the street, it was a bit of a beast on the track. It's not the most predictable or best balanced car near its price range, but on that beautiful mountain or country road, you won't be let down by the sound as you're firmly planted in your seat. Hope everyone's having a great day! Consider following on Instagram if you like blue cars, or yellow, but if grey is your thing, probably not all that interesting: https://www.instagram.com/engineeringexplained/

  2. If you say so, fine, I got one!

Funny enough, your video actually contributed to my decision to buy this car! Your happiness convinced me to give it a try. When driving it for the first time, it still somehow managed to surpass my expectations :))) Thanks for the tip!

  3. Jag hit it out if the park with this model . one dream cars they make it in a forest green color (not sure if that's the actual paint) dark green and it looks amazing on the drop top , and I'm not into green on cars . thing sounds wicked awesome vid my guy .

  4. Kudos to Jag – this review (and countless others like it) … demonstrating unavoidable fun and joy in driving a machine – is 'what it's about'. Although as an Rsport driver I must chastise you for putting a 'bee in my bonnet' and as my mom always says (rightfully so for better or worse) when I've got said bee in said bonnet …there's no escaping it. So I fear you may soon cost me a pricely sum of money. But, kudos. And darn you
