If firing Girardi was the wrong move how is it not Brian Cashman's fault? As the GM he either is responsible for getting rid of Girardi, which he was because he had already poisoned him to Hal, but even if he changed his mind and wanted to keep him he did not stick his neck out to save him when Hal wanted to fire him. So he either does not make good decisions himself, or he does not have the ability to save the owner from making a mistake that can have horrible consequences for years to come. So, apart from being a great Fantasy Baseball GM skilled at assembling teams, what it his skill set? Because it ain't mentoring, it ain't team or player development, and their in game management style has never produced consistent results in 17 years. Getting away from the details and looking at the big picture I just cannot see who would be most responsible if not the GM. And sometimes it's just not a good fit. Maybe Brian goes to the Pirates and wins a WS, who knows? That does not mean he would have won with this team if he stayed, and honestly speaking any other team would have made that change by now.
How in the world were they Yankees only accessed 4 errors that game lol. Should've honestly been 6 total errors that game.
This makes that 5th inning look competitive.
