I’ve always wanted to try freezing liquid nitrogen solid. At first, this might seem like something that’s really hard to do, but it’s actually relatively simple. All I need is a vacuum chamber, and a small dish.

If you can somehow be able to get your hands in the vacuum chamber through gloves like you would do in a special fum hood (or whatever it is called that you have to do scientific reactions with dangerous chemicals and stuff inside without anything happening to you) it could be possible to touch the solid nitrogen.

It’s probably possible to have nitrogen ice at room temperature at 1 atmosphere of pressure. But you would need a massive solid block of it. Like maybe a few cubic meters of solid nitrogen.
