  1. /e/ and /a/ are different sounds. And, yes, in some words they will sound more similar. However, because of the variations of sounds /a/ makes based on the word it is in, those examples are limited. I’m sorry, this is not the greatest way to show the difference. The International Phonetic Alphabet can help people who have limited linguistic knowledge. Respect ✊

  2. I m from india.. wanted to start teaching my 3 years old alphabetical phonics. I was so confused in the sounds of these two A & E letters. This video made it so clear and easy.. will never be confused now. Thankyou for the Best explanation. Specially the Wide and short opening of mouth. 👍🏼

  3. Could you answer me a question, please? why Donald Trump almost all the time pronounces the word "a" like EI, in "eight", and sometimes this same word is pronounced like a, in "car". Apologizes if this was a stupid question. I'm not actually a very good at listening.

  4. Oh man, I'm brazilian and even this explanation being possibly the best one I've ever heard, I consider this very difficult for me to fix, or even to promptly listen and get meaning.

  5. Thank you for great explanation. Many teachers say that they are different sounds, you should open jaw wider, and so on. Your explanation is to pronounce «a» sound longer than «e» is the best.
