These are really difficult sounds to perceive. Thanks for the explanation 👍
But why do videos or people pronounce it like meh uhn
Wnat about the word often? Do you pronounce the t in it? If you do why not in listen as well?
What's the correct way (so many English speakers do sound the t in it).

thank you so much! i love this video 🙂

/e/ and /a/ are different sounds. And, yes, in some words they will sound more similar. However, because of the variations of sounds /a/ makes based on the word it is in, those examples are limited. I’m sorry, this is not the greatest way to show the difference. The International Phonetic Alphabet can help people who have limited linguistic knowledge. Respect ✊
Thank you sir
what about errands how do i know its errands or errends ?

Thank you Alex for your helpful video. I had wondered how to pronounce between them for a few weeks. And you made me figured out. You got a new subscriber.
It is the perfect lesson for me who doesn't understand differentiation between men, and man.
THEY SOUND JUST THE SAME I CAN'T HEAR A DIFFERENCE NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY
after 15 years of studying english i finally understood how it should be pronounced 😁 thanks
thanks a lot
Thank you for the explanation.
Thanks man 😀
Could you answer me a question, please? why Donald Trump almost all the time pronounces the word "a" like EI, in "eight", and sometimes this same word is pronounced like a, in "car". Apologizes if this was a stupid question. I'm not actually a very good at listening.
Oh man, I'm brazilian and even this explanation being possibly the best one I've ever heard, I consider this very difficult for me to fix, or even to promptly listen and get meaning.
Thank you for great explanation. Many teachers say that they are different sounds, you should open jaw wider, and so on. Your explanation is to pronounce «a» sound longer than «e» is the best.
Thanx m aaa n !!! 😀
Now I think I got it thanks to you Alex. You're the man !!
Excellent learning videos.
Keep posting more.
