The Consolidated B-24 Liberator was one of America’s most important heavy bombers of World War II. Featuring the distinctive shoulder-mounted Davis wing, it was designed to offer greater speed, range, and payload than the B-17, but those advantages also came with compromises.
By the end of World War II, approximately 18,500 B-24 Liberators had been produced across five factories in the United States, making it the most-produced bomber, multi-engine aircraft, and American military aircraft in history.
In this video, we rebuild a later-production variant of the B-24D in detailed 3D to reveal how it was built, how it worked, and operated.
Our model is based on B-24D serial number 42-72843, named “Strawberry Bitch,” which flew more than 50 combat missions from bases in North Africa between September 1943 and June 1944 and is now displayed at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
We also created a detailed poster inspired by the video, illustrating the complete internal layout and key components of the B-24 Liberator.

The B24 never got the love of the B17
Excellent video!
10.000 StuGs vs. 18.000 B-24
The B-24's was mostly used in the Pacific theater no?
I like your videos
the Americans always come up with the coolest name for their stuff 🤣
I think what always surprised me was how the B17, was the better of the two. I have always felt it was more of a rugged aircraft. It just never got the publicity it deserved. Pity.
Great vid! Salute from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I would love to win this this is an awesome plane
Lo más que me gustaba Dell avion era de la parte delantera
exhaust driven supercharget? you mean turbo?
Blue paw print would be impressed
My maternal great-uncle flew 37 missions as a B-24 Liberator co-pilot in the ETO. 1st Lt. Leo W. Rice, KIA 11 November 1944. A hero remembered never dies.🙏
The Jolly Rogers 90th bomber group
My father was the Pratt & Whitney Rep at Wendover Army Air Corps base in Utah fromm1942 to 1945. He instructed over 720 air crews from 12 Air Groups. He said the fuel delivery system was a HUGE problem in the B-24. It leaked which caused pilots to taxi the aircraft with the bomb bay doors cracked open to allow leaking fuel to leave the aircraft. The aircraft also "hunted" in the air. It was much harder to fly formation than the B-17.
The Willow Run stat is the one that always stops me — a complete B-24 rolling off the line every 63 minutes is industrial output on a scale that's hard to even picture. And the retracting bomb bay doors were such an elegant solution for a bomber that size. Fantastic technical walkthrough.
Loved the video, and the AC from the USAF museum. I've loved that plane ever since the first time I seen it. But would've like to see the PB4Y make an appearance!
New subscriber here 😊
The Michigan flight museum is still at Willow run airport. They don't have a complete b24 but they do have a cockpit. My grandfather was a tail gunner in the European theater. Up until he passed this year 2026 at the age of 100 we used to go out there for veterans events.

At 2:48 the laptop and white board are distracting.
Inside the lancaster would be awesome
Thank you for this.
Can you please tell us how the towers were built in Alanya? Residential, semi-combat and combat tower ? Please

ИИ угробил все …..
Building the model on one real airframe, serial 42-72843 with over 50 combat missions, instead of a generic B-24D is what makes this feel authentic. You can tell in the details from 3:33 on.
