How did ABC books do X before X-Rays?

Did you know that English used to have a letter for the ‘th’ sound called a thorn?

  1. Going to be honest “Everyone knows what X is for, dumbass” would have stressed me the hell out as a child lmao. Because as a child learning my alphabet, I WOULN’T know what X was for and then I would feel extremely stupid

  2. In polish, we don't have X, we use KS instead in all the words that require it. We do have the letter y though, that no polish words starts with. Except for yeti. I grew up with y for yeti

  3. Just happened across the video on my feed, and love the presentation! I'm surprised you haven't been around longer. Subscribed and I'm excited to learn more facts!

(Also, my brain IMMEDIATELY said "Xylophone" and you got that out the way RIGHT as I thought it up)
