As well as seeing the impressive alterations they’ve made to their country home, Jules discovers how they have immersed themselves in community life, including returning to work as a local church minister.
Jules also catches up with other house buyers, who despite a hectic working life and serious setbacks along the way, have managed to make their personal mark on the property they purchased.
Escape to the Country is a British daytime television property-buying/real estate programme, first airing in 2002 revolving around potential home buyers searching for their dream homes in rural parts of the UK.

I feel kind of sad looking at the second couple and their struggle to fit in their new life in the country, despite their amazing house and land surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
Clearly that horse incident added some ptsd to the 2nd lady. I hope that couple are able to slow down and enjoy the beauty around them.
I don't always love the "ye olde" houses, but I liked the first mystery house.
