WARDOGS J-hook: how pilots land fast without getting shot.
A slow, straight approach leaves you hanging over the landing zone, and every rifle on the map gets a free shot. The J-hook fixes that. Come in fast and low, pass beside the spot, then collective down, roll toward it and pull the nose up to bleed the speed. Use yaw to keep your nose on the spot. Once the speed is gone, level out, ease the collective up and touch down.
New to flying? Start with the landing basics (cover, flare, cushion) in the helicopter landing Short, then add the hook.
Creators bind the helicopter differently on mouse and keyboard and on HOTAS, so this Short shows no key names: check your binds in game.

You dont need to do the j hook or the hoopty loo in wardogs like you would reforger. If you hover low and fly around in the control zone slowly, you will get a great feel of how little infantry is able to shoot you down.

Spot on. For bonus points tell all your passengers "Don't jump" because they get scared like rabbits around dogs the moment a helicopter performs any kind of dramatic movement near the ground and are liable to jump to their own deaths rather than sit in the professionally landing helicopter.

I combine a j hook with roll right on top of it while using my yaw to make it hard land right where I want, similar to a g hook.
And then while landing you get shot to shit anyway.
Thats why usually helicopters don’t deploy infantry in a high target environment, that’s for IFV’s APC’s and heavier vehicles to do. Helicopters are too vulnerable for that shit
