5 STEPS to Cementing a ZIRCONIA Crown #dentistry

Cementing a fully sintered zirconia crown correctly is the step that determines whether your same-day crown lasts — and in this video, you’ll see the exact bonding protocol that makes it work every time.
In this video, you’ll learn:
✅ Why decontaminating the crown with Ivoclean first removes salivary phosphates that block bonding
✅ Scrubbing 3M ScotchBond Universal inside the crown for 20 seconds — and why air drying matters
✅ The critical role of MDP (the adhesive chemical coupling agent) in bonding zirconia crowns
✅ Total-etch technique with 37% phosphoric acid for 15 seconds on the tooth prep
✅ Desensitizer protocol for vital teeth before bonding agent application
✅ Loading RelyX Ultimate dual-cure resin cement and tack-curing for a gel state
✅ Efficient gross and fine cement removal with scalers and knotted floss
✅ Light-curing each surface for 20 seconds and rechecking occlusion with articulating paper
✅ Why rechecking retraction cord removal before dismissal protects your patient and your case
Whether you’re new to same-day zirconia crowns or want to tighten up your cementation protocol, this step-by-step breakdown gives you the clinical confidence to deliver a crown that fits, bonds, and lasts.

In this episode 5of 5, Dr Bender shares her clinical technique seat same-appt BruxZIr® NOW on tooth #14.
