Anthropic Secures $63B AVGO Chip Deal, NVDA Invests in META Stock Offering

Is the stock market setting the stage for a record run? That’s the question Kevin Green weighs ahead of Tuesday’s opening bell, though he warns the S&P 500 (SPX) closing below its 50-day SMA is not a promising sign for bulls. The tech trade’s lasting volatility is a key hinderance, even after Broadcom (AVGO) and Anthropic made a $63 billion chip financing deal. The Wall Street Journal reports Anthropic is looking to go public the week of November 16th. KG sticks with the tech trade by discussing Nvidia (NVDA) investing $3 billion into Meta Platforms’ (META) stock offering.

  1. The part that stuck with me is how interlocked this is: Anthropic locking in $63B of AVGO chips while NVDA is also putting money into META's offering. It stops looking like simple chip sales and more like the whole chain funding each other. The number I'd watch next is not the headline deal size, but how much of that capacity actually gets used and paid for.

  2. I’m trying to keep my exposure to AI at a level where I get some benefits of it succeeds but won’t get hurt too bad if it crashes, the debt concerns me

  3. I have no problem in NVDA investing in companies like META. NVDA only makes money as it sells chips, buying META gives it the opportunity to access business ownership in a company that makes money off of activity of users.

  4. so stupid to buy the inferior chip, compared to CHINAS' new chip, why, another bad move, and the bubble gets bigger, Ever notice how very rich people hate to admit they are wrong and F' d up

  5. Isn't circular financing one of the main fears of the 'AI Bubble'?. If just one hacker misuses AI to create world-wide panic, it's game over. We are all just one headline away from ruin. The risk of long-term investing in AI is sky-high right now. I'm adjusting my strategy to play short swing trades from now on. I think it's way too early to go long in this sector.
