  1. This is like creating an on ramp and adding a stop sign right before a merge. How are people who are used to normal roads supposed to know these NM "special" rules they created because they can't actually design anything?!?

  2. This is news? This is the news of a city that long ago gave up trying to do anything exceptional. Don't move to Albuquerque if you're an exceptional person. Find a city that will value your talent, skill, dedication, and perseverance. Albuquerque will only beat you down for it.

  3. The whole point of those turns is that you don't need to stop! Why the hell did they not make the lane long enough to merge? 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

They aren't just in Texas, everywhere I have seen them, there is no need to stop.

  4. The only DashMart in Albuquerque is right there by ihop and NAPA. You will have delivery driver traffic coming from there to southbound I-25 24 hours a day.
Meaning: always expect to stop at that stop sign before the on ramp there.

  5. It would have been more helpful to see a schematic or at least an aerial view with marked arrows. A high speed zoom down the lane isn't very useful. Fun for the camera operator, maybe.

  6. They work pretty well many states that use them, shout out TX. We're just dumb enough to put them in so late. Not to mention they'll probably be 20 years past due once they're done. Please vote Greg Hull if you want to see any type of change at all

  7. I’m glad we took a good idea from Texas and used it in town. Not surprised we’re giving it a special name, since we are petty AF when it comes to Texas.

Glad to see the work progressing!

  8. Thank you TxDot for designing and sharing such an efficient method for traffic flows. Plus, it's worth mentioning, that this turnaround has been open for over quite some time.
