Great……Now there will be more mishapscrashes of the ultra-dangerous Osprey.
Always sad to see this happen
I’ve flown on one of those 6 times. Old but reliable

Greyhound forever
Are you kidding me? Throwing away a legendary airplane just because of it's age and still can run? Jesus Fucking Christ, I've seen steam locomotives still in operation with the oldest one I've seen built in 1901 which is the PRR 643. That still operates at the Williams Grove Steam Engine Association and it's an impressive engine. 125 years old and still cooking. Another old steam engine is the Sierra 3 in Jamestown California which was built in 1831 and STILL OPERATES! So, why throw away an airplane that is still in good working order that just needs more maintenance? If railroads respect old equipment and still runs it, why not the navy with vintage aircraft that still works! I don't believe it because I SUPPORT railroads and trains thanks to the engineering, how they operate etc. So with that, the railroad is what I can still rely on. The navy or other government operations, they can just kiss my ass! So, with railroads still running old equipment, ALL ABOARD for still functioning antique and vintage equipment!
That would be crazy enough if the Philippine Government would acquire a few units for the Philippine Navy or Air Force, but anything works for the Philippine Military for hand-me-downs
A nice tribute and a fitting retirement for this aircraft, which will live on at the museum so that it can still be appreciated.
Vaya Que privilegio y Orgullo 😊😊 C-2 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Soon I’m going to visit the C-2 donated to the Brazilian Air Force Museum in São Paulo
Farewell Pops, your service is over
The news anchor is an idiot. Another mommy and or daddy hire.
It will be regretted……
Pilot Roy with a mustache
Fox is Not news, it’s state run media!

Holy shit, i saw this when i was out at fort pickens fishing the other day! I had no idea what it was at the time. I saw a piece of history flying for the last time…. thats cool as hell!
The pilots were probably younger than the plane
What's the replacement?
Perfectly good aircraft simply needs to be updated and improved. Really stupid for the Navy to retire a superior and proven aircraft.
Farewell C-2. you served well
Not exactly pretty, but it did what it was designed to do and did it well.
GOD BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, Y'ALL!😊
Big mistake. This plane is leaps and bounds better than the pos osprey that is fully taking its role. They should have just updated this plane but Grumman doesn't have the money to pay off the corrupt brass and frauditicians like bell boeing did with the military and congress.
In COD we trust 🥲
COD on deck.
And it will probably be replaced by a overpriced POS like the F14 by the F18
Replace it with F/C – 18
The osprey is not nearly as safe an aircraft.
COD
So much mail and packages delivered to us on the Big John CV-67and two catshots going home on terminal leave, no more CV-67 no more F14s, no moe C2 Cods, makes you feel old.
Wait up they're replacing the Greyhound with WHAT aircraft? I sure hope the CMV-22B Osprey has had some fixing, from what I heard flying Ospreys in anything but good weather is a miserable experience
I flew that airplane many times. It was one of Det II’s airplanes on the 1996 cruise on USS Enterprise (CVN-65). Sad to see them go but all good things must come to an end! CDR Kevin “Goober” Sayer, USN.
Don’t Get why Greyhound was not converted to a Tanker
Well, that's just stupid!. The Osprey is nowhere near as good as the C-2 and that's even with the age difference. The C-2 landed in all sorts of weather that the Osprey isn't going to VTOL into or out of. Not to mention all the FATAL crashes that vehicle has vs the Osprey. There's a reason the the Osprey that is STILL earmarked for Presidential use, and has been for YEARS, isn't allowed to carry the president or VP AT ALL! Yet they're willing to sacrifice Marines and seamen in them. Because of the UCMJ, even if you had a problem with them or didn't want to fly they or fly in them, you're not allowed to say so, and must keep quiet about it. The "excuse" of "salt air" damage is just a cover for , some politicians whose districts or states make components or assembles this piece of junk, pushed to get it accepted for this role. Besides the safety issues, the C-2 is a more practical aircraft. It can carry more, with a longer range.
It is really stupid in my opinion to even ask. My answer would be if Trump did ask Putin, and he didn’t, no less than the USA is helping Ukraine, and is also sending Iraeli provided intelligence to Zelenskyy.
I got my trap in a C-2 in 1996, returning from a det to Bahrain.
What are they replacing this with?
1993 COD c2 took me out to USS Saratoga.
Its weird seeing all the things we had in the navy get old like us and be replaced
