This retro slasher throwback fuses grindhouse aesthetics with psychological terror as a film crew making a movie in rural Texas is stalked by violent forces.Set in 1979, the film follows a group of aspiring adult filmmakers who rent a secluded Texas farmhouse to shoot their movie—only to discover their elderly hosts harbor dark and deadly intentions.
Mia Goth (Pearl, Infinity Pool) delivers a stunning dual performance as both aspiring star Maxine Minx and the elderly antagonist Pearl, anchoring the film’s themes of aging, desire, and fame. Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream 2022) plays Lorraine, the initially reserved crew member who challenges her own boundaries.
