Seems likely that a faceless man, maybe the first faceless man, stole a valerian steal sword from his masters and sold it off to the Lannisters to fund the Faceless Men organization, who used their skills and funding to orchestrate the assassinations of the Valerian mages that tamed the 14 flames. It might've even all just been one really shrewd slave who only created the faceless men after the doom with slaves that he escaped with, cleverly and discreetly getting all of the mages killed with his nothing but his skills and his enormous wealth. Almost makes me want a doom of Valyria show
Omg I never realized that the doom was equivalent to the long night, and THATS why its called “The song of Ice and Fire”, I used to think it was called that cuz if Jon and Daenerys. Omg this is making so much sense I love it
It's taken me seven years to spot the shoyru ayyyy neopets
"It's like poetry, it rhymes"
The Amethyst Empress was killed by the Bloodstone Emperor. The amethyst-eyed Valyrians were killed by the gold of… green-eyed Lannisters.
I am either crazy or, and hear me out, GRRM's whole other hidden story about how weirwoods had green leaves before turning to blood-red is another rhyme in this allegoric stanza.
UPD: After all, the idea that Lannisters through Lann the Clever and Valyrians are both branches of Ancient Asshaii dynasties has been theorized about for a while.
So they existed for hundreds of years, but not even three random dudes decided to team up and fly around just a plunder all over the world.. that’s fucking terrible writing
So nice to find an old video not using an AI voice or images about this, thank you
I thought the targaryians were the only people in valaria ??? Can you do a video on the rest of families in valaria
I always compared the Doom of Valyria to the Myconian Collapse with the volcanic eruption at Sandorini or Θήρα for those who know.
Oh give it a rest, every race or group of people in this universe could be considered Nazis. They just didn’t all have dragons.
for me, the Doom will forever be best as simply the volcanos going off at once, like pompeii in ragnarok turned to 11. yes magic and gods exist in the world, but the greatest civilization bending the knee to nature feels most fitting end than some plot or prophecy.
I'll say they are like Jews with dragons
That prophecy could have been about how the Lannisters had a hand in ending the Targaryen dynasty. Never know, prophecy can be about things you didn't expect.
Imagine the Phlegrian Fields blowing up in the fourth century AD, instead of a barbarian invasion, burying Rome in a hundred meters of ash and pumice, Constantinople in thirty meters of ash and pumice, Alexandria in twenty five meters of ash and pumice, Jerusalem and Antioch each in twenty meters of ash and pumice;
Taking out Western Europe, North Africa, the Levant and the Mediterranean basin?
The Doom of Valeria should be THAT catastrophic!
Honestly prefer the unknown. Collapse of the bronze age type stuff
Theory: Valyria' s doom was caused by excessive use of black magic and mining in the vulcanos.
what the shoyru
Yo mirando este video casi 8 años después, increíble
🤗 I personally think something lived in the 14 flames and that it awoke causing the doom, a flying reptile that would put even the dragons to shame, a demon of fire that used to fight the king of the monsters, rodan
The theory about the Targaryens likely being responsible for Valyria's destruction actually makes sense given Aegon the Conqueror came to Westeros and adopted Westerosi culture. He and his descendants saw Westeros as their true home. Aegon also did not impose slavery like the Valyrians did.
the Targaryens are not the only Valerians to survive the doom. The Valaryons also survived.
Per In Deep Geek's video on the matter (released ~5 years after this one), it could have been the Maesters. They claim to have destroyed the dragons, they have a stockpile of Valyrian steel and know how to rework it (normally for chain links, but could have made Brightroar), they actively work against magic and viewed the Valyrians as evil for using magic…
Is hier jemand deutsch?
They need to turn this into a show!!!!! Sooo much to work with here
They could've just married other dragon lords💀
Ruins of Ozzymandies. A warning against hybris indeed
Was that a neopet dragon?!
