  1. this is my least favorite chord, somehow i learnt the barre F chord BEFORE i could get this one right and quickly often enough to be decent 🫩

  2. Hi stranger,
If your ring finger keeps muting the high E string, try trimming your nails (still mourning mine) and using your fingertips, literally…

That solved the problem for me!

  3. Can anyone tell me how I should place the second finger because the notes on the first and third always ring out perfectly but the thin string never works and if it does ring the others don’t I’ve been learning for about 3 days I started this yesterday

  4. The D- Chord is my final boss. I don't know why but i have so much trouble with that one chord. I'm at stage 6 on the app and everything works well besides D. The most problem i have, is when i play Old faithful. Every chord sounds great and then comes D and it sound strange. I don't know why but for some reasom my upstrums with D sound wrong.

  5. i have had my guitar for 2 years now but always got too frustrated and gave up. but not anymore. ill update this in a few months and see if i gave up or not lol

  6. if ur reading this u will prob wanna quit cuz i felt the same but after doing some massages w my fingers and practicing more I NAILED IT so u can do it too!

  7. I don't understand how I could possibly play this without my pointer finger being a little farther away from the fret than my middle finger. Does anyone else have this problem?

  8. Leaving this comment here and bookmarking this video. I want to come back to this months and years later and look back on how far I've come in my journey. With the guitar and music as a whole. Thank you for providing so much invaluable information, and explaining it all in such a clear easy to follow way. Cheers to you, future me, and anyone else who wants to learn.

  9. I've figured out the trick: I press down with the very tip of my second finger, aligning it with the third fret, but my finger remains on the second fret, so my third finger can reach the third fret much more easily. Watch Justin's fingers carefully; there are many clues.

  10. I'd been trying to figure out why my D did not sound like a major and then I watched your video and discovered my ring finger was touching other strings. Tough chord to get your fingers.

  11. If I can't line up a D chord using two hands, two eyes and 10 minutes, How am I supposed to rationally think this is something i can do on the fly ?
