They should bounce the water bags to stress test the arms.
With the power of the engines and the heat of re-entry the space ship may better served with certain ablative parts, which can be replaced readily in critical areas like the launch pad pit and the heat shield hot spots. This would allow for minor failures to be easily remedied. Analogous to refueling.
