Bath captain is this year's most annoying contestant. His head bob while giving the answer is already getting on my nerves. Very poor form also to take ages to answer on their bonuses.
Strangely enough during the preamble (I study …..) Bath came across as a bit stupid, the word gormless comes to mind. City St Georges were much more assured. The result was the complete opposite.
Cuba, cubism, cubit – lots of fun starter qs but wth the bonuses are crazy difficult! It's frkn hard to pull out from your brain a random person who died in 1970, let alone remembering his contemporary too. And those elements qs. I thought the other one was, abhor-boron, lol… Bad luck st george's. Both teams were fun to watch though. Well done to both. And also Turner , just wow 👏
Lots of gimmes in sports question. That tennis bonus are pretty easy. Heck even the cricket one also. I can forgive the rock and roll HOF question. Ain't nobody know when that award was broadcasted lol.
23:25 good old Toxteth O'Grady – a longstanding legend in UC. Goodby to the beautiful Ms Butterwick, loved the name, loved the butter-sweater. Bath were tough to beat.
I like that the leader from Bath will give a reassuring nod to acknowledge his team mates when they got the answers correctly. It’s the little things that can help build confidence and team cohesion especially during stressful times.
Seven times the host attributed ignorance to bad luck and once attributed actual bad luck to bad luck, when they tried to guess a composer, and chose Chopin over Liszt.
city st. georges' music round… holy fucking shit … the concept of mistaking sabrina for janelle & bea for doja 😭 but props to butterwick for getting outkast! her reaction before answering is so replayable ❤
Bath gave St George's a bath! A big ol' swap on de pants to CosmicPumpkin for taking the time and trouble. I had a few screamers on this one, so I wouldn't've been entirely dead weight.
I am a linguist and historian and was never good at maths and science but it seems to that those questions are getting harder. Now I don’t even have the foggiest idea what they are about!

Sorry for being away so long, I've moved over the last month or so. Which means this is the first week I've had time to sit down and play along with the show. Missed doing this every week.
was it just it being tailored to my specific areas and interests or was the first third of the episode extremely easy? got 4/5 starters before anyone buzzed in, 90 points in total
15:10 at first I couldn't even understand why they passed the first 2 bonuses but why the heck did you say balt and Baltic when your teammates just told you cobalt and balt?? jeeezzz

Turner is enormously likeable.

To be fair, some of the follow up questions for St Georges were too complicated and two word answers etc. Turner exemplary leadership.

Strewth. I am 84 and I beat both of them.
Noted poet and civil rights activist Martha Stewart…
Spent my life in Flintshire and I have NEVER seen that flag
Thanks for sharing with the world! ❤
I hear William Conrad promising us "I'm dreaming of a wide isthmus, or Rocky around the clock…"
Must be cold in the studio.
Not the brightest lot
I have lived to see the day when ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ is an answer on University Challenge. 😀
some pretty serious hair action going on with the boys there at Bath…
Never heard of initialism. Feel like I've learned something important. Thanks for posting x
Turner being very unsportsmanlike, even when pressed by both Amol and his team to either pass or give an answer.
I'm pretty sure Fudge's spirit animal is Eeyore

Hill <3
Turner is good! A bit lackluster effort otherwise!
Those guesses at the Miro painting were toe curling

Never knew Clark Kent and Robert Pattinson had a secret kid named Brown who is studying medicine at City St George.

It should have been Rosalind Franklin who won thar Nobel Prize. Why not correct the error?

Thanks for the upload! Quite an average episode overall, Georges looked overawed by the occasion and I don't see Bath making it to the finals!

Also when Judy Kuhn and Lea Salonga performed together in Les Mis 1995, they gave the best rendition of Heart full of love.

Was it my imagination or was Roger Tilling somewhat subdued today?
oh my god, the elements question was so hard to watch

I thought the Seattle question was badly worded – I thought that the city, and not the body of water, shared its name with the state.
City St George got the hardest bonus question. Bad luck.
Thomas Sankara question ❤❤❤❤
