  1. Thanks for this! My bf- and we both grew up in the US and he’s lived most of his life on the west coast like I have so idk where he got his random Irish accent with super random words nor his weird pronunciation of H but I’m definitely showing him this 😅 He pronounces the letter H like
hay-ch! Like a strong HAYch haha. Ive said it’s 8ch not HAYch! He still thinks it’s HAYch and when he talks about work he even says HAYch-R department haha. He’s adorable ha, but definitely wanting to kindly correct him for his sake at work if anything? 😅

  2. Only just found this video. How is it Canadians, Australians South Africans etc. can speak, write, teach English better than the English people themselves. I have one problem, but it could be a northerners' problem, we pronounce 'ate' as et. Not the French way, ay/e, literally et. Like I said though it's probably a northern dialect pronunciation. Love from an older Brit x

  3. Thanks for this video. A considerable number of Australians who immigrated from Ireland 19th Century & before, educated in the Australian Roman Catholic working class education system say 'HAITCH'. PLEASE help them to say AITCH for 'H'. Thanks again.

  4. I saw a grammar meme that took me a while to understand so I googled how to pronounce the letter H and this came up. Honestly, I thought this woman was bat shit crazy before I realized she was pointing at Brazilians for their typical pronunciation. It's funny how things can look totally different when you don't have the context.
