  1. Honestly, my take on the whole thing, is literally what he said towards the end of the video about technological advancements, and how something better is bound to come out, maybe a USB type D, how Apple may surprise us and come up with a proprietary port, that is better than anything, I mean, you never know. Well I honestly think is gonna happen is that yes all devices are USB-C now but the Americans will move on to the next best port or cable, while people in the EU may be stuck with USB-C for a long time.

  2. What’s funny is that Apple now touts USB-C as a major feature for their iPhone product ads on their website. At least they did for the 16e product page. They always knew it was better for their customers to have a universal port but their greed will always take priority over doing what’s best for the consumer.

  3. No portless iPhone yet…iPhone 17 is out…but maybe they’ll still eventually remove the port 😳 they just need to make MagSafe do data transfer somehow

  4. The real reason is that apple has no backdoor but android does but main reason is having a type c charging port your phone is easier to hack to top it off If the police wants to go through your phone they can’t With the older models but from 15 up were fucked 😂

  5. Well, here we are in April 2025, and the iPhone 17 lineup is just around the corner. But honestly, looking at how things are going for Apple—with the struggles around Apple Intelligence, the tariffs from China (even though Trump eventually eased up)—I doubt it'll come without charging ports.

  6. I remember when people said the iphone 15 had usb 2.0 speeds instead of 3.2 like the iphone 15 pro purely because the 15 had a chip from an older non usb-C phone. Well its the iphone 16 now and they still have usb 2.0 transfer speeds. Kekw another thing for apple to milk on the "pro" moniker.

  7. I understand that Apple's lightning cables were originally based on a clever form of USB 2. They were advanced for that time, but time has marched on and the current problem is that an old but proprietary cable still makes money for Apple.
A long time ago Sony refused to give up their proprietary cables and connectors for the same reason, time (and the customers) marched on for them as well.
