Edmunds giving bad advice? REALLY?! Let's tell EVERYONE to get the OVERTRAIL because the third row seat isn't that good and it takes up 1" of space on the floor board, so now everyone has to get the off road model even though none of those people are going off road.
A land cruiser vs everything else
Man… this was the hardest decision for me however ended up with an NX 350h F Sport . It’s like the best of everything and I did not take that decision lightly. The RX was great but felt slightly slow & just a bit bigger to my liking. Beautiful car though. The GX felt like a truck & surprisingly was the least comfortable of ALL 4. Plus mpg is atrocious. Even though I loved the looks of it . The TX was an easy out cause I think the exterior is ugly however the test drive surprised me! Great car . Finally the NX won me over and I don’t regret my decision at all! Love absolutely EVERYTHING about it .

The RX seems to be viewed as the sweet spot and has a "very good" score, while the TX is hard[er] to recommend… but has a higher score. I would only buy the NX but it has terrible run flat tires with no place to store a spare. That for sure is a dealbreaker. When is Lexus going to start listening to the people who are buying the vehicles. Really dumb/stupid.

TX vs grand highlander…the price is essentially a wash with Toyota “market adjusting” their grand highlanders whereas Lexus dealers are discounting the TX. No brainer to go with a nicer TX.

Im about to shop for a gx 550 overtrail non-plus model. I miss having a luxury offroad capable body over frame vehicle i could use for some offroad camping and the separate rear window will be great for transporting and storing my longboard surfboard. Incognito ext. color!
I went with the TX 550h+ plug in hybrid. I traded up from my Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum HybridMAX. I agree that the Grand Highlander is a way better value proposition and the TX PHEV is a bit too pricy as well as hard to get now that Lexus has halted production. But the V6 power, smoothness and the fact that 90% of my driving is done electric and my hybridMAX got awful mpg because I was doing so many fart trips around town and the gas engine couldn’t get up to operating temp so hybrid could be efficient. It’s all the subtle day I. And day out niceties of the TX that makes it worth it to me albeit more on a satisfaction, emotional sense than a value sense. Seat and steering wheel moving out of the way, supple touch points, thigh extension, 4 way lumbar, Mark Levinson, etc just sort of added up in day to day to make me feel I was ok with the price difference. Not having to fill up often is another biggie, makes me smile all the time. So my TX experience is quite different than the one you showed as I have both power and efficiency and super quiet.

The new screens for gauges compared to having real gauges all look so cheap for me. Screens cheapen the experience for me a huge amount. One good screen for Android auto is all I want. I know it's cheaper for them to make screens instead, but they feel like anti-luxury to me.
