The selection process relied on patriotic video submissions and an opaque committee, producing a roster that critics say leaned heavily toward private Christian schools, homeschool backgrounds, and out-of-state stand-ins. The kids deserved a real national stage, but the adults turned America’s 250th birthday into another political branding exercise with ESPN cameras, MAGA pageantry, and plenty of empty seats.   1. If its based on a video submission about their patriotic beliefs then course non white kids aren't going to be there in vast numbers because they and their families aren't patriotic at all

  2. Similar to this, during the Freedom250 travesty in the National Mall, several states declined to participate, and when they found out that other folks were pretending to represent their state, those pretenders are now being sued for impersonating state officials, and defamation of character, and the like. It might be interesting to see similar fallout from these particular state representatives.
