âLeaves from the vine falling so slow like fragile tiny shells drifting in the foam little soldier boy come Marching home brave soldier body comes marching homeâ – iroh to Lu Ten
"It's enough to make a grown man cry." đ˘
Everybody needs an Iroh in their lives
Leaves from the vine falling so slow like tiny shells drifting in the foam
I cry every time i hear it…
Is it just me or does this song get sad every time you hear it?
This song gets me everytime i hear it đ˘đ˘
When I first saw this I cried and I still do
I need to know if he reunite with Lu Ten in the spirit world
iâm in tears
Rip Mako đ˘
Thank you for all the advice you gave us in the show â¤
Years later it needs Just a few Seconds to tears…
đ˘
Stg I cried when I first saw this
Iâm not cry sniff Iâm using water bendingđ
đ˘
The fact we only see Irohâs son once in a flashback when heâs a little boy hurts so much. Even if we never met Lu TenâŚwe know what his loss did to Iroh and how he misses him dearly. Losing his son did make him a better person, but stillâŚno parent should have to bury their child đĽş
I recently found out that Dante (VA fo Zuko) had done movies with Mako as a parental figure when he was younger. Rewatching this with that knowledge just kills me more. And "In honor of Mako" is the nail in the coffin
The voice actor was actually crying because he was about to die due to throat cancer
when i first saw this, i was sad, but when i found out that mako, the voice actor of iroh found out he had cancer before this, i was just devastated. RIP Mako, rest in peaceâ¤ď¸
Oh, Iwamatsu-nii…
You shall be remembered as the great unc Iroh.
đ Rest in Honor! đ
đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘
Bro every time listen to it I starts sobbing
I can't hear this song or see the episode without tearing up. It's sad for the characters and real life
i've been rewatching avatar (movie just came out) and when i got to this episode i LEGIT cried. RIP Mako
One of the best animated Characters Of all time Mako Nailed him R.I.P Mako
RIP Mako, thank you for your dedication. You have left a lifelong lasting impression on many of us through your work. Now sleep well Little Soldier Boy and thanks again.
Uncle iroh is a very wise and understanding character.
The most human in avatar universe ever
Don't forget he and his father iroh killed many
Nearly 20 years have passed since this episode aired, yet IMO it is still one of the greatest scenes of all time in any animated show (and tv in general)
RIP Makoto âMakoâ Iwamatsu
Thank you for bringing Iroh (and a certain âshapeshifting master of darknessâ from Cartoon Network) to life
Watching this is making me tear bend đ
I will never forgive netflix for what they have done
Idk why I watch this lol I just bawl everytime
How can you not shed a tear watching this scene?
Back here to cry again
NONONONO WAIWAIWAIWAIT!
Tears from the eyes,
falling so slow.
My heart can't hold em' back,
"Got no control.*
Pain from in my soul,
So deep within.
Joy from the memories,
remembering him.
It's even sadder that the voice actor who sang this had to sing it almost right after learning he had lung cancer and later died shortly after he sang this song.
Lea-a waterfall rains out of my eyes
đ˘ losing a truly loving people always sad….always….always…..sad
Knowing mako iwamatsu recorded this during his last few yesrs alive, knowing it was his end makes it all the more tearjerking
Thank You, Mako. For giving each of us a little bit of our own Uncle Iroh.
RIP mako
Every time a fan asks Greg Baldwin to sing Leaves From The Vine, he had to kindly refuse to sing the song out of profound respect to Irohâs original voice actor, Mako Iwamatsu and stated that the song was Makoâs.
